• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for Navigation options besides ACP - What do you recommend?

I agree with you about route planning. However, when you’re talking to an engineer, who is a millennial, don’t expect them to know how those of us who plan complicated routes really use their tools.

Looking for Navigation options besides ACP - What do you recommend?

I’ve been a Garmin user since way back when. Probably the first GPS that ever was produced. What I found is that the GPS is the best device for routing in my opinion. However, if you ride in a group, multiple people have even the same model of Garmin mounted on the Motorcycles, there is a...

TIME FOR UPGRADES on my 2024 RT-L - which of these do you recommend?

If you really wanna know about suspension, call Ted Porter at his business: https://www.beemershop.com/ He is a suspension expert. I’ve already spoken with him about my Spyder. Most of the time he focuses on BMW’s, but he knows all about Spyders too. He is an importer of Wilbur’s but knows other...

Any suggestions on good Ear protection for lowering wind noise?

The problem with relying only on hearing aids is that they offer no hearing protection against road noise, right?

    Canyon Carving on a Canyon

No. On my Sea2Sky, the Canyon was a loaner from BRP.

Any suggestions on good Ear protection for lowering wind noise?

As someone trained by an audiologist to make earplugs, all of the options that people have talked about are reasonable. The problem with companies like Big Ear and audiologists, in general, is that they charge a lot for what they provide. I have seen the difference between bigger and other wired...

What kind of navigation do you use on your Canyon, especially when you are out of cell phone service.

Even though most phones have a GPS chip inside of them these days, I’m not sure this is the best solution. Yes purpose built hardware is expensive, but I just don’t think the technology is there to get rid of it yet. Just my two cents. Plus, I travel worldwide. I have found that sometimes the...

    Canyon Carving on a Canyon

Love Baja Ron, but CanAm Spyder Accessories upgraded EVEN the Baja Ron sway bar with their own. I bought one for my Sea2Sky and will report on how it works! https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-2013-2019-rt-2020-and-up-ironhold-ultimate-swaybar/

    Canyon Carving on a Canyon

Only problem is that they really don't know how to market it as such. I've been invited to Club BRP and hope to talk to them about it! More to come!

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

I had a toy hauler and hauled a Spyder plus a BMW in it. I now have a Class C RV and pull a 16' cargo trailer with bikes inside. The toy hauler option is just too much work! Taking the bikes in and out to set up camp, etc. It ruins the fun of a trip - just my $0.02.

Enjoying my Redrock with Unlimited access to all roads!

I live in Phoenix and have 5 more days with a Canyon that BRP gave me to test ride. Too bad it's so freaking hot! I'm going to try a part of this trail later this week before returning it anyway!

    Recommend any Floorboards for Canyons?

This isn't a road bike. If you have it for only on-road riding, IMHO, you have the wrong platform. This bike is meant to be ridden sitting or standing and therefore requires footpegs. Floorboards aren't the right solution. You should just dangle your legs or get highway pegs.

Is the Canyon Riding position narrower than the RT's? Enough to notice & stop cramping hips?

I'm soon to be 65 after 3 hip replacements. My response is that the seat is more like a motorcycle seat and is narrower. If you are having problems, you should be doing hip and leg stretches before riding. https://www.motorcycle.com/top10/10-stretches-to-keep-you-limber-while-motorcycle-riding.html
