• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Control ~ need guidance on attaching servo cable to throttle pulley

David, Thanks for your reply. I'm still working on finding a happy medium for installing the servo cable and the mounting bracket. If you read my reply to BajaRon, I was told by the Rostra tech support that I didn't necesarily need to use the beads to provide the slack in the cable. Correct...

Cruise Control ~ need guidance on attaching servo cable to throttle pulley

BajaRon, Thanks for your input about the slack in the servo cable. I have a question regarding this cable slack. I mocked up the cable loop to the ball where Lamonster installed his setup and placed a bead connector between the loop cable and the servo cable. I then held the servo sleeve in my...

Cruise Control ~ need guidance on attaching servo cable to throttle pulley

Lamonster, Thanks for the reply. Can I pry that plastic lever off without dissasembling further ? It appears that your loop cable is shorter than mine. My bead chain connector ends up flush with the bracket that holds both the throttle and return cable. Thanks, Ray

Cruise Control ~ need guidance on attaching servo cable to throttle pulley

Hi all, I'm installing an electronic cruise control that is a Rostra unit ( replacement for Audiovox unit ) on a 09 SE5. ESI Up and Out Mirror Extenders

Hi, So I just finished mounting subject mirror extenders but they are not much help to my 5' tall wife. With the mirrors adjusted down all the way, she is not able to get a good view of the road at street level, in fact they are tending to point upwards which is no use to her. She has the...

    Cruise Assist Question

Pierrelogic, thank you for your post. I'm wondering now if this cruise assist will work with the "easy riser" bars ? A previous poster stated that the "throttlemeister" unit worked with his easy riser set up but no one has mentioned the Kaoko unit with the easy riser combo ? Ray

    Cruise Assist Question

Dave, thanks for your comments. I'm a liitle perplexed with your comment regarding your discovery during installation and the "easy risers". The easy risers are designed to raise your handlebar so unless you have "He-man body builder" thighs, I can't picture how this would be a problem ...

    Cruise Assist Question

Cotton, Thanks for your insight ! The thought of shifting gears with some restriction on the throttle came to mind. Maybe a little less forgiving with a SE model where no clutch lever is involved thus avoiding a potential engine rpm to gear shift mismatch may occur. Ray

    Cruise Assist Question

That's probably one solution and another would be like the post by NancysToy; to keep the friction engaged. Even though maybe not ideal, I would think that the left hand reaching over to hold throttle and tighten friction nut with right hand may work too. I'm wondering if there are folks out...
