• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT 1330 MPG ??

Love your icon pic! Only done one fill up, too early to know for me, but every ride will have a 5000 foot vertical section over a 16 mile run.

Thanks for all the great replies. Sadly Dust Devil is gonna be sitting cold and lonely in the garage for a month while we trek back east for the annual relative visits. Hope I don't forget too much in the interim. Wonder if the wife would drive the truck and let me tag along as drogue...

Went for my second ride today, about 60 miles' worth. Not much but enough to figure some things out. Seemed twitchy again, especially at higher speeds so concentrated on being more light and relaxed on the handlebars. Didn't help much till I figured out I'm still overcontrolling, getting used to...

2016 RT Limited hard to hold on highway

Yessir, started reading about tires while thinking about getting Dust Devil ( the name I gave her today riding down the canyon in a cloud of, um, dust). Most thread address the rear tire, got a good handle on which way to go there. But I have seen a few posts talking about the fronts. I'll look...

2016 RT Limited hard to hold on highway

We easy to spot, ain't we? Lingo-ing up is always a learning curve for noobs. 1st time I read that someone had farkled their frunk I wondered what kind of peeps were on this site!! But back to topic. Or to pot-stirring. So I'm pretty sure Kendas, Kumhos and other scooter tires are...

2016 RT Limited hard to hold on highway

ROLO. FOBO. BUDS. It's like being back in the USAF! :yikes: Interesting site. Too bad no dealers in NM or WesTex.

First issue with the new ride

Yeah, they seemed kinda scattered both times I was there. Just spread too thin for what they're trying to do. Bike actually came from the Los Lunas store so I'm thinking the battery was installed there. Either way, you know when you're cross-threading something and that's the time to stop and...

First issue with the new ride

Was installing the new LED headlights from TricLED. The right one wouldn't go to high beam so I unbolted it and pulled the housing back out to investigate. Turned the key, hit the starter, there was a click and all the power went out. Sounded exactly the same as vehicles I've have with loose or...

    Fobo problem

Funny, I thought the same. Not an acroym but a company. Well, it IS an acronym of the company: For Our Better wOrld. Cheers :2thumbs:

Welcome from another newbie, the folks here are all helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, not sure about the other eight. :welcome:

    Updates for 2018...

Good thread, brings out the :gaah:in all of us. The FNG would like tell-tales in the switches or idiot lights on the dash to let you know the bloody things are on. Coming home from the dealer I was sure the tush warmer was on, and kept fiddling with the switch. Same with the fog lamps, nothing...

    Magic Mirrors how to order

Ordered mine 6 April before the ballyhoo so it worked fine. Not sure on the price increase, may already be in there. Took the mirrors off first time on Saturday for the LED strip install, will be glad to get these little mothers.;)

Spent Saturday installing all the addons I bought, or most of them. Have absolutely nothing to get the top spring off the cat so didn't get the air bag Rock Armour donut installed. AND I don't have a lift so not sure I'm gonna be able to get the scoot high enough off the ground to drill the...

Thanks for the link, they're on the way! Also ordered some LED headlights. Had to show the Farkel Faerie the door after that, but I suspect she didn't go very far...:spyder:

One of the things that surprised me on the RT is the lack of a factory TPMS. Air pressure is problematic up here; my trucks both have a TPMS and depending on the temperature and atmospheric pressure they range from 35 to 45 psi. AND whichever side sites in the sun will be a few psi higher than...

WOW. You've had a bunch of these! I did notice the tendency to overgrip, and after a while kept telling myself to relax. Didn't notice as much twitching on the latter half of the ride. Also the first part of the trip was a little gusty so that was adding to my stranglehold. If I can get up the...

So 110 miles from the dealer to the house, over the Organ Mountains, across White Sands and up US 82 to Cloudcroft, down NM 130 and Russia Canyon Road. First impressions: seems a little twitchy. I'm thinking tires. Talked with the service guy, he has no problem mounting and balancing non-MC...
