• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New tire update

Did you choose the Kumho Ecsta AST model tire? When I was researching tires before I changed my tire, the Kumho was one I was considering before I ended up choosing the Toyo Proxes 4. I found the Kumho Ecsta AST, and the Toyo Proxes 4 to be one of the few tires available in the stock 225/50R15...

    Front Foiler ?

If you decide to go with bellypan protection, just to let you know, I first tried a product similar to yours on my 2015 Spyder RT but was still getting damage to the stock plastic plate below the frunk, and the plastics underneath, so I too went with a Spyderpops Bumpskid. The ground clearance...

    Secure and Solid Mirrors

I just thought I would share what I did to make the mirrors more solid and secure on my 2015 Spyder RT Limited. I drilled a hole in the plastic of the mirrors and into the cowl, and inserted one stainless steel security metal torx screw in each mirror. These are the ones similar the the ones...

Trying Different Rear Tire on Spyder RT

Good advice and I did check the date code and it showed the tire was manufactured in the 19th week of 2015 (98L1915)- so I know that I have a newly manufactured tire. My tire dealer here told me he can order more if needed so I guess they must be still available at the price of $160 CDN, but...

    Goldwinger first Ride...

Welcome to the wonderful world of "spydering" as I choose to call it. I got into the Spyder for about 4 months now and have put about 10000 km on mine. What has been said here by others is quite true - at first you will have sore hands and fingers from the nervous grip you will have on the...

Trying Different Rear Tire on Spyder RT

Hi SpyderAnn. I paid $160 CDN (plus taxes) for the tire, ordered it from the dealer locally and had it in 4 days. This was one of the very few tires I found that manufactured the odd 225/50R15 size that I wanted to stay with for various reasons. :f_spider:Steve

    Side mirror wobble

Tell you what I did on my 2015 RT Limited. I didn't have the mirror wobble like you, but I wanted to add a little more tightness and security to my mirrors so I got a couple of stainless security torx metal screws #8 x 3/4" (the ones with the center pins in them), drilled one hole in an...

Trying Different Rear Tire on Spyder RT

Thanks for your reply MZEMS2. I know I would open up a can a worms if I asked, "what tire should I choose?", but I did my own research on the tires available for the Spyder, read the posts on here (and there were a lot of good ones), then chose the Toyo Proxes 4. Now, I just thought I would...

Trying Different Rear Tire on Spyder RT

After only getting about 10,000 km on my rear Kenda tire on my 2015 Spyder RT Limited, I have decided to replace it with the Toyo Proxes 4 tire, same size (225/50R15) as the Kenda original. The Toyo Proxes 4 has the rating of 95V as compared to the Kenda's 76H. Has anyone tried this specific...

Do you know if there will be an adapter available that will allow USB to be used on the 2015 and previous models?

All the 2016 Spyder Lineup info posted here!

Belt Vibration Improvements ? I wonder if BRP has addressed belt vibrations in their 2016 lineup and I hope if they have done something about it, it is able to be retrofitted into the 2015 and earlier models.

    Another Nice Dealer

Bumpskid from Spyderpops I would definitely recommend the bumpskid from Spyderpops. These Spyders do not have much ground clearance as many of you owners probably know or will soon find out. I found out that even some frost bumps in pavement are sometimes enough to scuff up the underneath if...

    F3 Belt Tension Specs

You've got all your specs correct. If you are using the Krikit II tool, try to get the reading close to the 174 lbs on the tool. I used both and compared. The conversion is : Newtons x 0.2248 = Pounds Pounds x 4.4482= Newtons to compare measurements using the Krikit II (uses Pounds) and the...

    BELT TENSION SPECS

Could someone with a shop manual provide me with the specs (x) for the 2015 Spyder F3 : Belt tension : (x) N +/- (x) N Belt Mass : (x) g/m Belt Width : (x) mm/R Belt Span : (x) mm I only have the BRP shop manual for my RT Limited that gives the above specs for the RT, but I know the...

    F3 compared to Ltd

F3 vs RT After trying both F3 and RT, here is how I would do a comparison : The F3 is the "Corvette" Spyder, lighter, lower centre of gravity than the RT making it corner and perform better, and because being lighter it will lay down rubber easy if pushed. The RT is the "Cadillac" Spyder...
