• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    GAS CAP

    You should use a silicone based lubricant. WD-40 is a solvent and dissolves rubber o-rings, I assume the one in the cap is impermeable to fuel but WD will "eat" most rubber and silicone over time even if then are made resistant to them. I used liquid silicone and it helped a lot.

    I think he wants the hex wrench size which for a 10mm bolt should be 8mm (a 5/16" should work too) 8mm is .315", 5/16" is .3125" close enough.

    What brackets did you buy? I have my Nelson Rig strap soft bags from 2009 GS, after see your pic I know wonder if they will sag into the rear wheel. Those brackets might be just what the Dr. ordered.
