• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Safety Course near Austin Texas?

3-wheeler course in San Antonio I am signed up to take the next course at www.swmotorcycletraining.com. They have that course the third Sunday of each month for $195. Call 210-0623-8330 to schedule. Not on the online calendar. They use Spyder for demonstrating the exercises. Maybe I'll see...

Look out . . . here she comes!!!!!

Happy Spydering! I'm riding but won't get my license until next month. Have to go all the way to San Antonio to take 3-wheel safety course, Grr-r-r. Texas doesn't make it easy to be legal. Congratulations to both ladies on this thread and safe riding. :congrats:

    Traffic, temperature and the spyder

What do I really need? I went out to Spyderpops and it looks like for my bike I need a radiator block off plate and a catalytic convertor shield set. Is that what you have, Freebob? :dontknow:

    Traffic, temperature and the spyder

Fan I have a hearing problem and don't know if I would hear fan come on. I do feel heat blowing on my leg as I don't have heat deflector. Would that indicate fan is on? I have been considering getting the heat deflector but want to make sure there isn't a problem with fan first.

Check Engine Light I had similar problem in driving on backroads where lots of starts and stops. It was 100 degrees but my car runs at 100 so I would expect my bike to do the same. Made a quick 10 minute stop, then when I started back up, the check engine light came on. It was Sunday so nobody...

    Lady Spyder Ryders Wearables

Spyder 'Girl' works for me! Obviously! Agree the heels have to go. Can't ride in those. They get caught on driver peg! Outsiders think it's just mispelled when it's 'ryde'. Kind of an inside thing! I would also rather see her riding instead of posing, but good effort. :congrats:

    Flag holder for RT

Really! That antenna flag holder is only $32. If flying the flag on the left side of the bike is acceptable, sounds like that would be the way to go. Thanks!

    Flag holder for RT

Another option? The RSCI is rather pricey. I've considered this for another option. Do you think the license plate holder is strong enough to support this type flag holder? http://www.rumblingpride.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RP&Product_Code=CONV-COMBO-KIT&Category_Code=CCM-K

    Flag holder for RT

Position of flag Yes, I wondered about that. Wasn't sure if that was the case with a single flag but you answered the question. Thanks.

    Flag holder for RT

There is a hole on opposite side from radio antenna on my RT A&C. Do you think this flag holder would work in that hole? http://www.rumblingpride.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RP&Product_Code=ANT-SINGLE-KIT&Category_Code=TCM-K

    What footwear do you use?

Problem with footwear Footwear was my very first problem with my new Spyder. I prefer wearing my cowboy boots and I also have Harley motorcycle boots but braking is a problem. Any boot or shoe with a heal catches on the driver peg and slows me down when trying to brake. I have a small foot -...

    How old are you?

Never too old I had my 70th birthday last week and got my first motorcycle last month. Just wish I hadn't waited so long. :ohyea:

    Excited

You go girl! My 70th birthday was yesterday and I just got my new Spyder. So easy to ride but so much fun. Why did I wait so long. No longer have to depend on a ride with a Harley guy! Eat your heart out, boys! I've got my own ride!:2excited:

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

Shutting off Spyder -- neutral or kill switch? For my RT with a SE5 transmission, the manual says to put it in neutral, set parking brake, and turn key off. The girl who sold me my bike and went through all the shut down steps said she always just hits the kill switch then sets the parking...

    Ride-on tire sealant-balancer

Only had my 2011 RT A&C a week but noticed a wobble in the front at about 55. Is this what you are referring to as a vibration. Dealer insisted I start with 15 in the front. Do you think I should raise that to 18 or add the ride-on? What air pressure to you have it with the ride-on?:dontknow:
