• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Steering Issue Got Me!

The Bad News - It is going to take a while to get back. On Sunday I will have been waiting for the proper DPS unit 5 weeks. Twice they have shipped the wrong/bad unit. Apparently a specific part number for the DPS has been found to be bad and they are to be pulled from circulation. Your dealer...

Thanks for the heads-up on steering issues!

:agree: Gets worse real quick. Mine started slow and was just as you described. Even had a few days of no issues which was enough to give a false sense of security. Then it hit real hard in the middle of a rain storm. It was locking everytime I turned the bars. I had to limp it all the way home...

The "REAL DEAL" Owners Experience - Rollcall

"Value for the money + extras - Redundant" My thought process here is for all those that spend big $$ on parts to make the spyder what they want and how they feel about that money spent and the delta between Value for the money and Value for the money + extras. I have seen many posts of...

    Steering almost got me killed!

Point taken. I toned it down a bit. Feeling to much for all those that have had these near death experiences and having had it myself, admittedly may have had me a bit emotional on the subject. :dontknow: I care nothing for the the reputation of BRP as compared to the lives of fellow ryders.

    Steering almost got me killed!

Maybe people should be "scared away" from buying a spyder right now... Firefly, your posts just grate me sometimes. You have some good posts, but you need to stop riding BRP's jock so much. These are real people, with real issues, and real families that will miss them when they meet the...

    Front Tires

Mine stops at 113mph. Beleive me i have tried. My first weekend with the bike up on 84 in Pennsylvania and i get challenged by a 40 something in a Porshe GT3 on quite mountain road. He just wanted to see what :spyder2: would do as did I. So it was on. Either he was pussy-footing it or i was...

    DPS..has it been fixed

After the dealer installed the second unit he was unable to reset the sensors. Now i don't know what the hell that means, but he said he called the tech line and in less than 5 minutes the tech line had indicated the wrong part number had been sent and that this particular part number was...

    DPS..has it been fixed

Yes, sounds like the locking issue. Mine happened on highways and in inner-city traffic. It got worse quickly. Take it to the dealership now for your own safety!!!

    DPS..has it been fixed

Been through it all in a very short time. I put over 3k miles in the first month and then the probs started. First it was intermittent power in corners that sent you into other lanes when it hit. So, I get the recall done. Then the locking issue. Yeah this one really sux and is enough to...

    +1 with DPS fixed

Good to hear. It is encouraging news. Still waiting forever for my DPS to get replaced, will be really nice if it works this time and I am happy. If not may have to unload it before warranty is up. I really want it back and running good.

So How is your Spyder Service

I live 1/8 of a mile from Coleman Power SPorts in Woodbridge, VA. So, you know what I do? I drive 35 miles down to Fredericksburg Motor Sports because Coleman's is full of arrogant, rip off artists. They actually quoted me $340 for my 3k mile maintenance. Their excuse was they are a premier...

    VA. RIDERS (ROLLING THUNDER) DC

Yeah, mine is in the shop too. Steering issues, DPS being replaced. I posted elsewheres on it. I am bummed out. I literally drove my car 1 time in 28 days and that was to pick my dog up. I really, really hope to get it back this week and also have my Gerbing gear and robobrackets and shield...
