• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Soar Butt

A different fix for a sore butt I know that some folks may take issue with this, but I have found the thing that has helped my sore butt the most has been to install highway pegs. It has allowed me to change sitting positions constantly throughout my ride. I can place one or both feet at a...

    Breakfast Meet Katy June 25th

Count me in. Twain is going to join us. If you are planning a ride after breakfast, may I suggest an earlier start time so that we can get back before the heat of the day sets in.

Anyone in the College Station area?

Sorry, we missed you. The RT belonged to Glynn and the RS is mine. We have ridden together with a few other Ryders from our area and it would be fun to meet you folks at some half-way point for breadfast. Personally, I like going early and returning before the sun gets too hot. Oh, by the...

    Breakfast/Newman's/Bellville

Hey Allan, I wouldn't mind doing a breakfast run so that we can get back before the heat of the day. I know of a fun road getting to breakfast. Let me know and I'll try getting some other Ryders together, although that might be difficult at this late date.

Infor for oil filter and oil

I use Mobil 1 which I get at my local auto supply store for under $30.00. I also save on the filter by using HiFlo HF 564 which cost me $9.95 at my local motorcycle repair shop (not a dealer). Sealing washers are purchased at the auto parts store for a minimal amount. My riding buddies tell...

    Front vibration mystery solved

After purchasing a new set of OEM, front-end tires from my dealer, I opted for ceramic balancing beads rather than wheel weights. Right off, I experienced front-end vibration as if the tires were out of balance. The ceramic beads just didn't live up to the hype. To make a long story short, I...

    New 2008 Spyder Gs owner

Welcome, Pacheco! You have some nice rides awaiting you in your area. I live in Houston (flat land, aghh) and many times will ride over to your area just to find some curvy roads. When you get all legal and comfortable with your new machine, and you are ready for more that just a local ride...

    Balancing Beads ... disappointment

I realize there has been a previous discussion on this subject, but I just want to add my two cents. I am highly disappointed with the Dyna Beads tire balancing product. I purchased a new set of front tires for my 2008 SM5 but decided to avoid the $131.00 installation fee the dealer wanted...

    LogoWear -or- Logo Wear

Spyder Logo Phil, I am not sure what you would like, but I was able to get a skullcap with a nice looking spyder web on it plus a patch with a spyder web at a motorcycle leather shop in Traders Village, Houston. The owner, Tim, has a number of dealer catalogs from which he will order stuff...
