• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

lights seem to brighten and dim

It took me quite a while adjusting one quarter turn each night to finally get the lights low enough that people wouldn't keep hitting me with their high beams (or in the case of a high-lift 4 wheeler who actually drove toward me so he could hit me with more of his high beams), while driving at...

    Can Am Leaning Trike Patent

:agree: I have no problem with current flat turns. The systems involved in allowing the MC to lean is yet another thing that can go wrong. Also, you would need MC tires, etc.... Hmm... I know there will be many who will like the leaning action, I just won't be in that crowd.

    Much awaited...

Congratulations on the mods! I started putting them on right after I bought my 09 SM5, and got kind of addicted to it... finally had to stop due to financial considerations, but I'll pick back up when I can <wink> Again, enjoy your newly modified Spyder!

    Spyder Lift Jack

I've never jacked my SM5 up to do an oil change. I have an oil "catcher" that is pretty flat and has a large flat funnel that attaches to an opening on the side and fits under my Spyder just fine. No need to use the jack. On occasion, I have jacked it up, I jack up each from wheel and put...

    exhaust leak?

I just did this myself... the stock gasket on the right side was completely disintegrated. Replaced with the Honda gasket. The only problem occurred when one of the screws for the cover under the seat fell between the brakes and the wheel... took 15 minutes to dig it out.... LOL

Good idea Lorne! I just went to the Honda dealer...over an hour away from me...and ordered two sets. Now, my Spyder sits, naked, with parts all over my garage, awaiting the necessary RX!!! I miss my Spyder... I need ice cold air streaming over my knees and landing on my crotch!!! I can't...

    HELP PLZ!!! Exhaust issue

Thanks Firefly, I figure if the local guy doesn't have them, then I'll just order them from the Honda MC dealer, but he's about an hour from my house, but I'll have to wait for until next week to install them in that case. I'll get a few sets, now that I know the deally... thanks so much!!!

    HELP PLZ!!! Exhaust issue

Thanks so much Arntufun!! After I removed the exhaust, I found that sure enough, the right gasket was completely non-existent. The left one appeared ok, but I'm going to replace it anyway while I have it off. My issue now is tracking down the parts... where I live, :gaah: that means a lot of...

    HELP PLZ!!! Exhaust issue

I have an '09 GS. A few months ago, I took it in for the 9k service. When I got it back, it seemed I could hear what could be a minor exhaust leak. I didn't make too much of it because the shop just had it. Well, it seemed to get worse and the mc seemed to lose a little power (I generally...

    A Gerbing user question.

I've been ryding in 25 degrees without any heated gear. I wear an Expidition suit by FirstGear and a pair of FirstGear gaunlet style gloves. I wear a sweater and some long johns, and that's enough for my body, but my hands do get numb due to the cold. After a while, I usually get my hands to...

Ridgecrest, CA 12-13-11 Came out of the Albertson's in Ridgecrest, CA, and noticed a blue RT parked about 20 yards away. Took a picture and was about to leave when I noticed the owner getting ready to get on it. His handle on here is Kraut (I hope that's spelled correctly). We talked for...

You can check out my pictures. I've dressed mine up to be reminiscent of a Flying Tigers P40E. UPDATE: I need to upload some newer pictures. I've added a lot of graphic art to it, including noise art, and Flying Tigers graphics.

    Opinions/help RE: Heated gloves

So winter is coming on quick and the gloves I bought work well above freezing, but my hands are going to need more warmth I think. I've considered the FirstGear heated gloves, but you have to install a power source. Has anyone done this on a GS/RS? How hard is it? I think I would prefer the...
