• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would like to make a request,

My fender side brackets are now cracked, but I know, that STILL isn't BRP's problem because it is being caused by a state issued bracket? That's $50 :cus: bucks a piece!!!! Whatever dude! Talk :cus: when you have to start spending that kind of money every month because of a state issued...

How difficult is it to change my Font Shocks?

I could reach all four of mine without removing any panels. Just had to crank the handlebars the opposite way.

I would like to make a request,

Thanks. Good info for me. I know I sound like a broken record, but I wonder how much high winds contributes to this? Especially crosswinds....because I have been wondering that same thing, why some bikes/riders and not others?

My good deed for the day.

Been wondering... about the life span of the stock plugs. I have over 16k on a stock set of plugs....have been contemplating changing them, but am not having the rough running issue so was letting 'em ride for now. I know, the owners manual says to change them, I believe at the 12k...

Thanks. Don't know about removing the fender, but might help my license plate issue. Couldn't tell from the pics, do you have to worry about the tire bottoming out on the plate? Or does the angle give you enough clearance?

I would like to make a request,

Follow up question. Is this a problem on other makes of bikes? This is my first bike, so I don't have any background and I have no idea how to find out other than doing a search and going to every web forum on the different makes.

Removing Hindle Exhaust baffel, good or bad.

I've been thinking the same thing since going on a fun run with a bunch of HD's and Shadow's. Made my Hindle sound like a dirt bike.:(

I would like to make a request,

Well let's see....every state in the U.S. requires a license plate and people are starting to come out of the woodwork saying their plates are breaking without an inspection bracket. In fact there are very few nations in the world that don't require a license plate. Sounds like someone needed...

I would like to make a request,

It wouldn't damage the paint, but removing it would be another story. I could stack them on top of each other, but after a few years that would start looking pretty ugly....but may just have to deal with it.

I would like to make a request,

I'm trying to figure out if it is that inspection bracket or the cross winds up here in the panhandle. What is the worst wind you've ridden in? And for how long?

    Scheduled maintenance throttle cable lube?

The periodic maintenance schedule lists lubricating the throttle cable. I did a search here and looked through the maintenance manual at the house and don't see anything describing how to perform this maintenance action. Anybody done this or knows how it is done? Any help would be...

I would like to make a request,

    Spyder Sightings

That's wild. They never leave here in TX. I heard somewhere they are a protected species in NY and environs. Is that a correct statement?

I would like to make a request,

True. Don't get me wrong, I am going to keep messing around trying to solve this myself, but my worry is that if in the process and time involved with trying things, I wind up moving the stress to the fender and it breaks/cracks I will be stuck paying for a new fender out of my own pocket...

I would like to make a request,

If it was an optional mod I'd agree with you. Since this is required by state law it should be something BRP thought about. I was going to use this analogy, if a car manufacturer made their windshield out of some "new" material (whatever that may be) and the registration/inspection...
