• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    My email to Carlo

I agree that the Spyder's tire from Kenda are on the soft side, but wearing un-even is an alignment problem. I wouldn't mind premature tread wear if it were "even" wear. John

    My email to Carlo

Carlo, I really hate to complain, but I'm going to express my experience with the front tires prematurely wearing of the tread on the insides of my tires. History: I purchased an 2009 SE-5 RS about mid march of 2009 In Nashville, TN. Note: after a bad experience during my 600 mile service...

    Change to full synthetic

Amsoil Data! Ken, Although a very long read http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g2156.pdf (motorcycles, I actually took the time to read all of the data white pages. After absorbing the information I'll be switching to AmSoil for all future oil changes. I wonder how many SpyderLovers will take the...

    Windshield recommendations?

I have the BRP Ultra Touring Shield (25 inch), and it's great. I also have a Cal-Sci 23 inch equipped with Madstad's RoboBrackets that I use especially during the colder months. If you have any other people who ryde the Spyder (like your spouse/better half), you might want to consider the...

When daylight savings time arrived, I reset my clock on my 2009 SE-5 - one hour ahead. But, somehow I lost my ambient temperature read-out. The display now shows RPM! Does anyone here know how I can get the temperature display back? I've checked both the owner's manual and the service manual...

Street Magic Genesis LED DRL/Fog Light Kit Spy Photos

Just what I was looking for Magic Man! Evan, Good thing you just posted this new light system, as I was looking over the net at many options for better lighting. Looked at Motolights, Baja Fuego and Clearwater's LEDs. I really like the idea of the LEDs. Will yours include a way to dim...

    Heated gear

Heated Gear I would highly recomment getting an 12 volt digital voltmeter to monitor your voltage when using heated gear. You can check this site http://www.digitalmeter.com/ for info. I got one and it's great to have! I would also recommend using an off/on switch with it. John

    12000 Mile price

12,000 mile service cost... I had this service done in January, and the total cost was $628.00. I had 4 quarts of synthetic oil (BRP) and filter/O-ring, so they didn't charge for that. You can figure about $60.00 to $70.00 more for the oil, filter and labor depending on their labor rate per...

Do you let anyone else drive your Spyder?

Absolutely not. Sorry, don't intend to be a meanee - but it's much too risky. I encourage anyone interested, to see a dealer and ask for a demo ride. Dealers are set-up for this kind of thing by screening etc. Plus they have the proper insurance policy for such things. John

PC-8 Fuse Panel and Relay Kit

I finished installing Eastern Beaver's PC-8 with 50 Amp Relay Kit last night. I mounted the fuse panel and relay under the seat (fits nicely), and the wiring harness is neatly placed and wire tied. I ran the Switching wire to one of the rear tail lights. This was an extremely easy install...

Charger Question - Battery Type - Which Charger

Groundeffect - read this... You can order this 12V digital volt meter, and be able to monitor your voltage. http://www.datelmeters.com/?gclid=CKCfgJ3I5p8CFVZS2godQQbGHQ I would advise a simple on/off switch, that way you could monitor as bike is running as well as when you're charging with...
