• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need info on these two items...

tire changer & balancer Well, thanks to everyone who replied to my post about the Harbor Frieght stuff. Today I went to a H.F. store in Nashville, and bought the yellow lift (on sale for $89.99), and some floor jacks for stability. Also got me a hydraulic roll-a-round stool as my "old legs...

Need info on these two items...

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has firsthand information on the following two items from Harbor Freight. I would love to save money by changing and balancing my own tires instead of paying astronomical rates to have my dealer do the job. I can buy the OEM tires from my dealer or E-Bay...

    Lift for Spyder?

I've been thinking about buying a lift for my Spyder, but I don't know which to buy. I'd like to use the lift in order to change my oil, and also to remove the wheels. I'm tired of paying $80.00 per hour labor to have my dealer change and balance the tires. I talked with the local Co-op and...

J&M 2003-DU CB KIT SPECIFIC FOR CAN-AM SPYDER

J&M Solution? Many thanks to all who have responded to my questions about the mounting bracket. I received an reply to my email from the Vice President of J & M, and he said they don't have enough demand for the Kit for the SE-5 to make a bracket that will fit. Oh well...... I think I'll...

J&M 2003-DU CB KIT SPECIFIC FOR CAN-AM SPYDER

I am very interested in purchasing this Kit for my SE-5 2009 Spyder but, everywhere I look, I see the following statement.... "This JMCB-2003 audio system installation kit has been designed specifically for the CanAm Spyder motorcycle Five Speed only, will not work with the automatic...

Look on your Spyder See If The AAPTS Sensor Is In The Right Place.

Checked sensor.... Used a flashlight and took a look thru the left air vent (not where the fog lights would go, but the smaller opening just below), and mine was properly installed by the dealer. :D John

How old were you when you bought your spyder? what are your thoughts on it?

63 I was 63 when I bought the 2009 SE-5 in March, 2009. In the 16 months I've had it, I put on almost 22,000 miles. I love this bike! I'm riding again and I don't have to worry about holding it up or sliding out of control on gravel, or riding on wet pavement. I ride 12 months of the year with...

    Oil Change

AmSoil is the best! Just changed my oil and both filters on my SE-5 yesterday. Ordered the filters, O rings, and crush washers and Amsoil from krb1945 (Ken) who sells Amsoil and is a fellow SpyderLover/Owner. In a past post by Ken he gave a link to important data on Amsoil and many other brands...

    Brake bulb win

Neez, I'm glad I found this post! The running/brake light bulb blew a filament (running). I have the BRP Sport Rack and BackRest on my SE-5. The standard proceedure to change a simple light bulb would have been a major P.I.T.A!!!!!! I followed your advise and did it. Now all I...

    My email to Carlo

Carlo Called... Carlo called this morning a little after 9:00 AM (Central time) and left a message on my cell phone. :2thumbs: I was unable to answer my phone as I was on the golf course at the time he called. I called him back and left him a message. Probably won't hear from him until...

    My email to Carlo

Have I heard from Carlo yet? No. It's been one week since I sent him an email, and so far no reply. I know he's a busy person with all the work load he must have, so I'll wait patiently for him to respond. The important thing to me is: will he respond? And how will he respond? John

    Refueling RT

Scotty.... I was wondering if you would recommend the "McCuff" as mentioned in this thread? I know the Spyder has to have some empty space, and not sure it the McCuff would over fill the tank as per BRP's advise etc. John

    My email to Carlo

Scotty... Thanks for the advise and information. Very encouraging. I don't think I'm over weight as I'm 5' 8" tall (short?) and only weigh 160 lbs. I ride probably 98% of the time solo. My wife very seldom rides with me as she has nerve damage in her back. Hopefully after her...
