• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When one bung is not enough.

measuring I've got a wide band o2 sensor and air fuel ratio data logger. Going to see how the current ECU is tuned and if or how it reacts to various exhaust configs from stock to a complete new system with flow through muffler. I've confirmed that the stock exhaust system is pulse tuned...

    connecting rod length?

I'm working on some performance calculations. So far, haven't found this spec in the service manual or online. Does anyone know the rod length c-c of the 1330? thx,

    Big City Thunder Baffle

Measurements I have the gear to do this along with any back pressure changes. The only thing I'm missing is the baffle. Would be great if someone could loan me a baffle or provide me the measurements so I can make a temporary one up just to test. For measurements I would need the cone length...

    Big City Thunder Baffle

Keeping posted I'm interested as well. Right now I'm looking at adding a Flowmaster Super 10 inline with my TwoBro's exhaust. It's called a muffler but basically is a chamber with some deflectors to direct the flow. The centre in, offset out model should fit the bill. Will have to make or find...

    Big City Thunder Baffle

Exhaust I'm thinking a small resonator in place of the cat would be ideal. Lower restriction, smooth out the high exhaust notes and keep any pulse tuning that might be in place. Gutting the cat would be equivalent although no weight savings. I have all the gear to measure back pressure...

    Spyder Fusion Helmet

Helmet choice I guess helmet choice usually boils down to a personal view of form versus function against price. Ive got about a half dozen helmets kicking around. Some definitely have to be retired. I usually cap out at 2-300 CDN. My latest (a modular) has a lot of features but is very noisy...

Daytona has Sport Mode - can it be retro-fitted to other models??

I've taken a look at the Bosch sensor spec sheets and the F3 wiring diagram. As it stands now it appears the various sensors on the Spyder provide a normalized voltage (typical 2.5V) to the ECM. Force on the sensors (eg pitch, yaw, roll, acceleration) will cause a deviation of that voltage...

Daytona has Sport Mode - can it be retro-fitted to other models??

It's interesting that the 2017 Daytona 500 model is being offered with a sport mode option. Now I'm wondering if or how it might be retrofitted to earlier models.

    F3 Dyno

F3 dyno So I've been searching high and low for dyno charts of the Rotax 1330 ACE. I pulled this screen shot off of the factory video. Can anyone confirm if this, is indeed, the stock torque curve? Are there any others out there, as a few of the earlier threads have indicated some have...

    F3 Heated grip question

F3 heated grips Mine aren't a constant heat either. They seem to turn on and off like a burner on a stove. They were dealer installed so thought maybe that's the way they operate. My $80 Oxford grips on my other bike are more consistent. Guess I'll have to follow up as well. cheers,

Are F3S windshields just for looks?

put BlueRidge away...raised gauge cowl As an interim step I raised my gauge cowl up. Got the idea from another member on this forum. It works well. Takes the wind off of my chest, helmet is in clean air. Ultimately will look for another solution, but it works... Cheers,

    F3 in an Autocross

Nanny will still activate with the clutch engaged, as I tested today. At this point will continue to practice to drive smoothly and work on the suspension a bit more. It is interesting to find what sets nanny off and what doesn't...she sure doesn't like the front tires to scrub, no matter how slow.

    Performance Pipe Installation

a convert to performance pipe Installation was easy peasy. Sounds like a small single engine aircraft now. Seat of the pants observations are notoriously subjective but the f3 does seem to like to rev a little quicker now. Kinda feels like the peak torque is moved a little further up the...

    F3 in an Autocross

Ran in an Autocross today with 18 cars of various sorts. Kudos to the car club for letting a three-wheeler take a few "exhibition" runs. Fastest time of the day was 21:22 seconds (my son in a slightly tuned Miata - which cost me some pride and $s). I ran 22:35, so a little over a second off...
