• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    getting warm

If it ever stops raining in Pennsylvania and the Northeast, we might be able to get some quality riding time in. :gaah::gaah: Not that I don't ride in the rain but, it would sure make it a lot more comfortable if I could see the sun shining once in a while. Something was said to me the other...

Got caught in heavy rain with my CHAD

Every time I think I'm about ready to pick a windshield, someone comes up with a thread and changes my mind once again. <sigh> I'm so confused. I have yet to see the touring BRP windshield on a Spyder in real time. That may convince me either way. :chat:

    Headlight Problem

Same thing happened to me after riding in a pouring rain for hours. The switch shorts out from being wet. After driving a while when the sun came out it dried out the switch and the lights went off. Strange huh? But I think that's the problem. That needs to be addressed by BRP.

What is the Coolest thing you like about your Spyder?

After riding a bunch of different brands of motorcycles throughout my lifetime, this Spyder thingie is a whole new experience. At my age, I got tired of trying to manhandle that big ole' Harley Ultra Glide and falling over a lot. So I made the decision to try something different. I'm smiling...

    gas milage

I talked to a few people about mileage for the Spyder. They all tell me that the more you ride it the better mileage you will get. Of course, I didn't buy Spydie for gas mileage. I bought it to have fun.

    Tie downs

That's exactly how I did it also when towing my Spydie to Daytona. Through the front wheels. Then sides, then back end. It's not going anywhere after that. As far as loading it from the tailgate? Be very careful. The Spyder only has 4 1/2 ground clearance. The tailgate should be about...

    Ask the BRP/Spyder Engineers Questions

Being an SE5 owner and hearing all these stuck in gear problems, now I'm getting paranoid. I haven't had this problem and I'm worried. Is this very common? I also would like to ask BRP if they could change the gearing on these Spyders. Coming off of 3 Harleys in the past is hard for me to...

what is the dumbest question you have been asked

Well, you have to admit, it does turn heads and people are inquisitive. They just don't think before opening mouth. My favorite line is, "Their ignorance is only exceeded by their stupidity"!:opps:

    helmet lock

I live in a state that doesn't require you to wear helmets but, I do anyway. Just my preference. I would just set the helmet on my seat and walk away. No one every bothered it. But there are a lot of bad guys out there so it's best to keep the "Honest people Honest." The bad guys are going...

    Motorcycles vs Spyder

I've been reading all your comments about the riders coming off other motorcycles and buying Spyders. I too have been riding about 45 years and have owned just about every make of bike. My last one was a Harley Ultra Classic which has taken me across the country coast to coast twice, so I'm no...

My SE 5 Joins the Club

I too find it hard to get used to these high RPM's coming off of a Big Twin Harley. So you say we should be running the gears at a much higher RPM before shifting? :dontknow:
