• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Corbin vs Russell?

I put a Corbin on my Shadow Sabre and it took a month of heavy riding before it was comfortable - it was an improvement from the stock seat but on long rides - my butt would get numb. I was going to get a Corbin for the Spyder, but, I came to the realization......I have been on several long...

Questions I should ask? 1st.servie about due

First of all - I think you won some kind of award for extra use of emicons:D. I would ask about the parking brake fix and if your brakes squeak - there is a fix for that, if it is an SE there is the gear sensor adjustment and the "stouter" spring that is being put in. Ask for a very detailed...

    Evoluzione air intake system

I have the "Ken" filter, 2Bros single can and the O2 bypass on my :ani29:. It is flawless - never a pop or backfire and it has a nice increase in seat of the pants accelleration. I will not touch/change this set up - I have had several bikes and always added exhaust/intake etc and never had...

How soon did you change the rear tire? Mine is about at the indicator?

There are several forum members that have reported tires OK at 2X that milage.....Lamont being one of them - are you a tire smoker? :chat: I have about 4,000 on mine and both fronts and rear look new....I am a pretty "spirited" rider with the occasional burnout to show off for the appropiate people.

Hard to see $245.00 worth of product here

Because of the risers you may be applying your body weight further off center and getting more "body english" than with the stock set up were you tend to lean forward and closer to center:dontknow: Makes sense to me....

    brp sportrack/back rest

You could add some "structure" to the bags with a 1"X4" attached to the front and back with some velcro and extra straps? I would have to see and feel the material - I am sure you could make them work...

    Question for do-it-yourself oil changers . . .

Both of the drain plugs were super tight on my Spyder also. You can use a large visegrip attached to the end of the Allen wrench to get the added leverage - just take your time and make sure the key is fully inserted while applying increasing pressure till it breaks loose. Also tapping the...

Hard to see $245.00 worth of product here

I am looking forward to Lamonts evaluation of the sway bar - I have been cosidering getting one -- if it really makes a difference in twisty performance it will be worth the price - it's hard to imagine it would change the dynamics of the front end very much :dontknow:

    Time to assert ourselves

It's a shame we will be seeing more needless regulation to get more taxes/fees. DMV changes often go national quickly. Next they will want to smog check my lawnmower:shocked:for a nominal fee of course......:cus:

How are is it to put risers on

Go to the "how to" section. Lamont has a nice step by step on installing the risers - looks easy to me. The only complaint I have been hearing is getting to the zip ties that bind the cables to the frame.

    Bent license plate

Somehow the plate must have been pushed/bent down to meet the tire. I have the re-locater and weigh 210lbs and have taken my wife ( PC..over 105lbs) and all is well --is there more to this story...? :spyder2::opps:

    BRP Hand Brake?

I have highway pegs and like to use them on long rides - I am so paranoid about my foot being away from the brake that it is hard to relax while stretching out on the highway - if there were a handbreak "just in case".....it would make highway riding more pleasant. Want a hand break -- someone...
