• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dont lose your spyder keys.

If a locksmith can cut me a key to fit the ignition, I only would have to replace the DESS then?

    Dont lose your spyder keys.

BRP told me id have to have a new ignition and DESS installed. I'm not sure where all the paperwork is for when i bought the bike, am trying to find that as well because it has my spare key with it. I've torn my house apart looking for the key. I don't believe its in the frunk, but if it is..I...

    Dont lose your spyder keys.

I cant find any of my spyder keys and it seems its going to be 500.00 to replace it, Having to replace the DESS and the Ignition is a ****ty design choice by BRP. Even on Cars you don't have to replace the entire ignition system if you lose your keys. I'm continuing my search for my misplaced key.

    More Disappointment

So you havent Test rode an F3 yet, You dont seem to think that engines can be tuned differently and still put out the same numbers, or that 600lbs weight differece matters not to mention the different sized sproket. And you've decided it sucks already. Good job.

Lamont, Passenger comfort on the F3.

Well, I know lamont rode the new F3. I'm trying to get atleast some info on how comfortable it is for the passenger. I just priced one out tonight with the bare minimum my RSS has, with the addition of floorboards... And it looks like around 23k. Wasnt the base RT with the SM6 just 22k?

Lamont, Passenger comfort on the F3.

I do a lot of 2 up riding and have an RSS right now. I was going to transition to a RT model for increased passenger comfort, However with the sudden price jump of the RT, How is the comfort for a passenger on the F3, I see a backrest available, And adjustable pegs with available floorboards...

    2015 Can-Am Spyder Line Up

There is a touring version of the F3 which is pretty much what everyone who wants to tour after buying an RS turns it into. Bags, Floorboards, Backrest, and windshield. Infact it would probably replace the ST as well.

I do know that I'll be trading out of or selling my RSS before they eliminate it, and possibly tank its value.

With the touring model they eliminate the ST place in the lineup, with the Muscle/urban models they eliminate the RSS.

What are you going to buy when BRP doesnt put the 1330 into the RS and phases out the RSS/RS all together in favor of the F3. It already seems to have a model for each style of bike people turned the RS into. I especially like the Touring model. And i need to price one through my dealer. Of...

Center panel hot to the touch.

After riding today i put my hand on the center Y panel, and it was very hot, uncomfortable to keep my hand on it for longer than a few seconds. It had to have been around 100+ degrees, i touched. The hood and could keep my hand on that much longer so it didnt seem like its from the sun shining...

    Heat issues and gear.

Ill double check but i think they do, and it seems the RS just cents all its heat out the top of those two side panels.

    Heat issues and gear.

Well, i think theres only so many places heat can go, and i think a lot of The spyders problems are caused by the body work covering the motor. I had two dry rotted hoses i blame on the heat under the tupperware.

    Heat issues and gear.

Ive ridden in street jeans i wont deny it. However i wonder just how much of the heat issues are caused less by the bike, but made worse by peoples clothing choice when riding.
