• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tas to caste her fate to the wind - Oct 2nd to....

I head south with Tas either tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday, at 7AM. My first stop is Surrey, where I'll have my new fender Led lights installed. I will probably spend the night in Hope; then Couer D'Alene, Idaho; somewhere ESE of Salt Lake City, Utah; Santa Fe, NM; north of San Antonio, TX...

Tire pressure - remote areas & load conditions?

I believe that I should be keeping the tire pressure at 15-17psi. I understand the importance of maintaining front tire pressure within .05psi and monitor that closely. The front TIRES that came with my Tas are rated for a max of 30psi. What would be the adverse consequences of running, say...

Tips on carrying stuff while touring?

After sharing my camp site with the bear last week while on my shakedown cruise, I have decided to take my bag and bivy tent for emergencies and stay in lodges, motels and B&Bs. I will carry stuff in dry bag on passenger seat. I was concerned about overloading with weight the Tupperware. I...

Tips on carrying stuff while touring?

Packing side compartments - how safe are the latches? Hypothetically;), would a gallon can of gas fly off into the bushes when I take that corner hard? How serious is the weight issue? What would happen if I were to inadvertently overgross my side compartments by, say 5 pounds? I plan to...

Tas to caste her fate to the wind - Oct 2nd to....

Hi Spyderann01, I plan to be where the sun is shining, but not in a drought condition; where the water is clear and cool; where you can see the stars clearly at night; where there are trees, mountains, and good folks. With this "global warming", I might be moving around alot:ohyea: Sarah...

**** "DO'S & DO NOTS" for NEW SPYDER OWNERS... ****

This thread is a Tas saver. I didn't know anyone when I had my Tas delivered to my home. I had never ridden one. I have ridden mcs for 30+ years so I wasn't concerned UNTIL I READ THE MANUAL. After reading this, I spend hours soaking up the valuable knowledge un this site. Thanks so much, Sarah

New Spyder owner having buyers remorse

I spontaneously decided to buy my Spyder. I left $1000 to hold it. I immediately went to my insurance agent who was so excited for me that she said she would book me for the skills portion of the motorcycle license in 3 days. (My mc license had expired a few years back.) I called the dealer...

Riding alone in remote areas - essentials?

Having the bear eat my apple next to me during the middle of the night has caused me to reflect about my camping style..."it ain't working for me"! It's no fun not being able to have a bang bang in Canada.

    600-mi service - advice?

Hi Karyl, I don't know when I'm heading to TX on Tas. Weather plays a small ;) role. I want to get some mods installed first. Because I am a dual citizen, I can only be in the USA and out of BC for six months of the year:banghead:. This is driving me nuts. I have always been a free...
