• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Bump Skid installation disaster

So if I hit something with my bumpskid, it will be pushed back, not only ruining the bumpskid, but pushing back all the bolts, ruining the holes I drilled and ruining the frame. Then to fix everything, I have to remove the bumpskid, the damaged bolts and the damaged parts I drilled into. After...

    No 1330 Engines

I have a 2015 F3 and I have put just over 4,000 miles on it. I did the first oil change myself. These "break down stories" have me concerned. If I ever develop a problem like this on mine, I swear I will get rid of it and never look back at Can Am. I hope Can Am is not a modern day Edsel.

Nah, I knocked on wood. Have a good day.

    Bump Skid installation disaster

I guess I'm lucky. Unless, it's plug and play, I don't want it. I'd rather not take the chance of drilling into my radiator, hoses or any other stuff. But that's just me.

    Power Commander V for F3

Me too. Been there done that when I had a Harley. Keeping it all simple on my F3. Getting older sometimes means getting wiser.

    Bump Skid installation disaster

Honestly, I fail to see the need for a bump skid. After over 4,000 miles on my F3, I haven't bumped anything or skid on anything.

    LOUDEST EXHAUST ON F3?

I agree. Been there, done that. I "outgrew" all of that muffler replacement stuff after I sold my Harley. My experience has been, if you change the exhaust, you must change the intake (air filter), if you change that, you must change the map or get some sort of fuel maintenance such as a power...

    Shop Side panel removal

Cost me over $200 to replace the inner panel because I broke the corner off trying to get the screw out of the brass fitting. Very poor design. Add that to the other poor designs like the need for a 2up shock to replace the useless stock shock, and the idler pulley to eliminate the vibration...

Anybody tried the F3 occasional 2 up shock?

Had dealer put it on. It is worth it, especially if you ride 2 up. Firmer ride when solo.

Intitial thoughts on my first ride.....and why I went back to the dealer!

If you have the Blue Ridge, get the X-Creen tour. It makes the windshield acceptable, at least to me. If you don't have a windshield, yet, don't get the Blue Ridge. As others have said, the idler pulley removes the vibration and you can easily install the pulley yourself. The 2-up shock is...

Idler Wheel Kit / Belt Tensioner Accessory for F3

Have an RT? Trade up.....to an F3. Then get the idler pulley! And 2 up rear shock!

    Trade Up.......Nah, I don't think so!

Upgrading means starting over. Do the new ones come with a 2 up shock? Do the new ones come with an idler pulley? Etc. etc. etc.

    Trade Up.......Nah, I don't think so!

I recently got a trade up notice from BRP offering me to trade up my 2015 F3. I don't think so. Not after putting on the 2up shock and the Idler pulley kit. I'll tell you what, if you have an F3 and didn't put on the 2 up shock and the idler pulley kit yet, do so. I just installed the idler...

F3 with Blue Ridge - Modifications to help with turbulence

I put the X Creen on my Blue Ridge. A few weeks later, cracks appeared on the windshield at the nose near the screws. Was it turbulence from the X Creen or was it a faulty BR? Anyway, I took it to my dealer. Showed him the cracks WITH THE X CREEN MOUNTED. They are replacing the BR under...

    F3 Rear Shock options

I'm having the BRP "occasional 2 up " shock installed at my dealer as I type this. Don't know the part number, but it's costing me $199.00 plus labor. Considered the Elka, but $600 made it out of reach for me.

    F3/F3S - Oil Change Instructions

Sorry, but I don't read that as ".....9300 between (oil) changes." I read it as to change it AT 9300 miles which is a 6300 mile interval.

    F3/F3S - Oil Change Instructions

I once bought a big boxed ratcheting wrench needed to adjust the belt on a 2006 Road King Classic. I never used the wrench because the belt never needed adjusting. I put the tool in one of my tool boxes and left it there. I read on one of these threads you needed a 36mm boxed ratcheting...

    Corbin Saddle vs Mustang

I've had a Yamaha Silverado and I put a Mustang seat on it. I had a Harley Road King Classic and put a Mustang seat on it. There is no doubt the Mustang seat is a fine seat. I currently own a 2015 F3 and so far I'm happy with the stock seat. I think BRP did a pretty good job with the stock...

    Changing oil on f3-s procedure/guide

An excellent post. I am one for 99% of the time changing my own oil on my vehicles. I will copy and print out your instructions and have it on hand when I do my first oil change on my 2015 F3. I have 2,100 miles on it now.

    F3 Luggage Rack

Too bad this doesn't fit a 2015 F3 with the BRP passenger adjustable backrest installed. Someday someone will create on that will fit my bike. In the meantime, I use the back seat and bungee cord a bag to the backrest.
