• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best RT Farkles for the mechanically challenged

Based on replies ... So it looks like I will be able to install by myself: -Baker Air Wings -Wolo Bad Boy horn from SpyderPops (Since theirs is supposed to come with all the wiring and brackets I will need) I've also added to the list: -Inside rear trunk light from SpyderPops -Foam grips from...

Best RT Farkles for the mechanically challenged

So, I want to do more to my 2015 RT-S, but not leave it at the dealership during this awesome riding weather. I am, however, uncomfortable with some DIY aspects. Especially drilling or changing the wiring. :yikes: I've done some super easy things, like my FOBO's and Spyder cuff, I installed...

Is there a Tupperware removal manual??

What are they called and where to find them? That sounds like a great idea, especially since every time I take something off I'm holding my breath, but where can I find them, and what am I looking for? I get the feeling that if I just walk into a auto part or hardware store and show them a...

    Cell Phone receiving, not sending

Just a followup In case someone finds this and wonders what happened, I bit the bullet and took her to a different dealer. Where they found that the CB, GPS, Cellphone cables were all wired wrong, with cables run through pinch spots. And that the glovebox cable had never been connected (I...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Was hoping to avoid dealer but ... After reading the thread and the service bulletin, it looks like this is something I'd rather have them do. That was a long list of things to check for and I don't even know what some of the things listed were. I'm proud of what I've accomplished on my own...

    Help with trunk issue.

You all saved me a trip to the dealer! I love this forum. Today I received my LEDs from LaMonster and of course had to install immediately. Was so proud of doing it all by myself ... until the trunk wouldn't latch. :opps: Broke down and asked hubby for help, but he couldn't get it to latch...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Now that I can check! Will normal car grease will work [the kind I can borrow out of hubby's tool chest]? Or do I need to find a special Spyder grease? :f_spider:

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Nope. Oh they absolutely know they messed up, and if any of them read the boards, they know exactly who I am. They knew they made mistakes (like the locking nuts not in place on the Tri Axis so they MOVED UP AND DOWN WHILE RIDING!) and when I realized the audio on the GPS and Cell phone...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

That's why it's called Stop-n-Go traffic! :roflblack: Yeah, my commute is a whopping 10 miles but takes 25-30 minutes if I don't leave before 7am.

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Gonna have dealer check it out When I got the bike [from a dealer in NC who I will not name] they installed the Tri-Axis, CB, GPS and Cell interface, but did not run the wires correctly. The new dealership [the only one I use now] straightened everything out, but I would not be surprised if...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Happy to hear this 1) The rear tire has much more road surface contact, therefore higher friction, which in turn is going to increase the temperature over the smaller front tires, this should not be a concern. :lecturef_smilie: Whew, that's good to know. I was worried that even though I...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Don't *think* it's the tires When I mean low speed, I mean 5-10mph. Like a slow start from a stop-sign, backing out of a parking space, doing the creep-beep in heavy traffic, etc. Once I go over 10mph, either it goes away, or I can't hear it. I'm not going to rule out tires, but the...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Maybe they wired the CB wrong? My CB definitely comes out of the speakers, AND the headset at the same time. My temporary solution is to turn off the speakers so the bicycle riders can't hear the CB, and downshift just before passing which causes the engine to rev a bit and get louder. Not a...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Didn't think it was the Octane I've used nothing but Premium (93) since the beginning as I've read on this forum what can happen when you don't. Misfires, engines codes, etc. I listened again as I left work (easy to hear when it echos in a parking garage). Does not seem to be wheel related...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Bought a 2015 RT-S in late September and LOVE it. I've read all the Do's & Don't for newbies (awesome info, thanks to all who contributed!!), have poured over so many threads with suggestions - and bookmarked quite a few for later review - but I'd like to post questions I can't find...

    How can I "de-chrome" my RT-S?

Gonna need a lot of masking tape I think that's going to be the way to go for parts that are hard to remove (like the bit by the grill, the top of the mirrors, etc). I've used Rustoleum before, just not for something that will be driven in the rain at 65mph so I was hoping someone would chime...

    How can I "de-chrome" my RT-S?

Of course ... as long as it comes out ok! :opps: Never been one for broadcasting my mistakes.

    How can I "de-chrome" my RT-S?

Great Ideas! Thank you all sooooo much! Parts like the tops of the rear-view mirrors and the tiny chrome bits down front will be the hardest. as I don't think they can be 'replaced' if I mess it up. But I will be very, very careful and follow all your painting suggestions! :ohyea:

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

Had a song stuck in my head Just bought mine a couple months ago, but had been thinking about my granddaughter when thinking of names, so it got named Itsy Bitsy. And then we almost painted a 'water-spout' in the front, but with the pearl white, I decided on webs, and then one thing led to...

    How can I "de-chrome" my RT-S?

So I have a 2015 Pearl White RT-S. Her name is Itsy Bitsy, and yes, her custom paint job is spider webs. Now I'm in the process of trying to remove all the chrome and 'silver' (I call them grey) parts to be replaced with black. I bought the RT-S specifically for the black rims, chose the black...
