• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Sightings

Just got back from vacation, driving from Virginia to the NC coast and back. I remarked to my husband that I hadn't seen a single Spyder all week. Then around noon today I saw a yellow Spyder with a single rider on interstate 40, driving eastbound near MM 262.

Accident July 7, 2018. Prayers needed

I've not spoken up before, but I've been following your story since the accident. I'm so glad that you and Kathy had discussed this and that your choice is so clear cut. My husband and I have also had these talks (and followed up with the legal documents to back it up). We both count on the fact...

    Spyder Sightings

Finally saw another Spyder locally today, in Blacksburg, Virginia. It was a single rider on a white Spyder on UCB, riding with a strange looking trike. (My blue F3-S was parked at Starbucks.)

Shad top case SH48 vs SH58x

I've got the SH58x on a Baker rack. I don't have any pictures, but juscuz posted pictures of his at the bottom of this page. That's how I knew that was the combo I wanted on my F3S. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?91765-Shad-luggage-for-the-F3/page4&highlight=shad

    Driver backrest for 2017 F3-S?

I think my next purchase will be a driver backrest for my F3-S. I sat on another 2017 with the BRP backrest installed and I liked the feel, but >$400! Yack! I'll spend that much if the BRP is the best choice, but are there others that give comparable comfort/support for a lower price? Thanks!

    New to the Spyder Family

Don't know about storage, but I really like my modular helmet. I had a full face helmet for many years, and the modular is so much nicer to wear. It's easier to get on, and I love being able to flip it open at stoplights, etc.

    Spider trip to Nova Scotia

The north shore of the St. Lawrence is one of the reasons I have a Spyder. I did the trans-Labrador loop last year (by car) and dropped back into Quebec from Labrador City. On the Côte-Nord, every third motorcycle was a Spyder. I bought mine 2 days after I got back to Virginia. The Cabot Trail...

Just met 2 riders from Nebraska on matching black F3-Limiteds at Catawba Grocery in Catawba, Virginia. I was so excited to see another F3, I almost forgot to get the gas I'd stopped for.

    I Found The Thrill

I too just passed 2,000 miles on my Spyder. I went through the adjustment period of the first 500-600 miles, got used to the feel in the turns, and felt I had adapted from 2 to 3 wheels quite well. I started having fun (well, more fun, since even at the beginning it was fun). Then, somehow this...

    Not just a Spyder Lover

We're twins! I have the same bike in the same color, but I've added some farkles. I brought it home with the BR windshield and footboards, and I've added saddlebags, fog lights, and heated grips. I've got some more stuff (back rack, tour pack, RAM mount) to install when I get the time. Enjoy! I...

Spyder is REALLY different - tried test ride, barely made it out of the dealer's lot

Can't add too much to what everyone else has said, but I switched last summer, after 50,000 miles on 2 wheels (in 12 years). My learning curve was probably about 600 miles. Now, I'm quite comfortable and very happy I made the switch. One other suggestion would be to put in for one of the Can...

    Spyder Sightings

I saw my first two Spyders of the season (besides mine) on a weekend trip to North Carolina. I was in my car, unfortunately, as Saturday was a lovely day and there were countless two- and three-wheelers on the road. I saw a red Spyder heading north on Rt 421 near exit 159, and a white one in...

Wow, what a machine ! WOW WHAT A MACHINE !!!

Rode to work yesterday and today. It just starts my day off right to be in the air and outdoors. I have a 17 mile commute, the first 12 of it on a small (fortunately, paved) road that goes through the Jefferson National Forest. I may get wet this afternoon, as the forecast is "chance of...

    Yea

I'm in the same boat here in SW Virginia. Rainy today, but tomorrow, sun and high 60s. I started my Spyder up yesterday and made sure all was ready to ride. Wednesday is possible too, but there is a strong chance of thunderstorms. Ryde time!
