• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Fuel vapors! Still....

Thanks for the input. But this is not exactly my first rodeo! I have owned many bikes over many years, and have NEVER experienced fuel vapor like this. Other than maybe riding a friends Buell. But it was not as bad. Well... If this is what it is, then I will just reduce it as much as possible...

    Fuel vapors! Still....

. I have spoken with BRP and this is probably what they are going to tell me. Go to another dealer. This will be the last dealer visit for this boiling fuel issue. I am going to speak with the service manager only on this and demand they go through the recall work with a fine tooth comb. Also...

    Fuel vapors! Still....

I am not seeing the condensate like I was before the work was done. I am in the process of (waiting for a call back from BRP) having it sorted out with BRP. Thanks!

    Fuel vapors! Still....

I do realize that cool fuel will bring the temp. Down. BUT! If I am spending this much of my hard earned money. I should never have to do that.

    Fuel vapors! Still....

. I am thinking maybe the dealer did not properly re do the fuel system. When I talked to BRP they specifically told me that heat shields and pipe wrap is not an approved BRP solution. Although I agree with you that this should not void the warranty. Yes, new eyes is what I need. I am taking...

    Fuel vapors! Still....

Agreed . I don't have much confidence in the dealer I took it to. So I will call BRP and then set up an appointment with a different dealer. Thanks!

    Fuel vapors! Still....

After a second visit to the dealer, (where they kept the bike for more than 2 weeks twice) and a "software update" boiling fuel is still a major problem.:banghead: I have a 2013 RTS purchased new last year. (No miles) It is stock and under full factory warranty. For me this is a bit more dicey...

    CAT REMOVAL ?

Sorry. I wanted to say ceramic coating. I meant wrapping the "header" pipes, not the bypass pipe. Thanks. Not taking panels off should make it go faster.

I really want to like this bike...

Here is my take. I am happy you found the issue. Some may say that I am a little off the hinges. I have 2013 RTS Spyder with no suspension mods. I am not spending several hundred dollars on any steering issues unless it is absolutely necessary. I have ridden many bikes over many years. When I...

    CAT REMOVAL ?

I plan on getting the porcelain coated bypass pipe. Would it be worth it to take the side panel off to wrap the header pipes? The recall work has stopped the fuel boiling issue, so should I even bother? Thanks!

    CAT REMOVAL ?

I have '13 RTS and will eventually remove the cat! My question is, do you have to remove the right side panel? Or can it be done by just jacking it up? Thanks!

    Low coolant level

I was trying to come up with a solution for adding and checking the coolant level. Like a cap extension with a dip stick. It is ridiculous that you have to remove that cover, and you can't really see the full level.. I hope someone provides a solution like this sometime soon.

    Fuel vapors finally gone!

The dealer finally fixed the fuel vapor issue. I had the recall work done last July and vapors continued. I called the dealer and they said, I don't know what to tell you, I don't know much about Spyders! What kind of answer is that? So I waited over the winter, and called BRP in March. I...

    windshields

Wrong shield sent by F4 I just purchased the sport, stock width, vented and tinted for my RTS from F4! They sent the wrong shield and customer service seems to be good, so far. I will see if they send the right one this time. I also noticed on the bottom of the shield , that it was not...

    Accuracy of Gas Gauge Improving

That is great info!!! Thank you! I always put the gas nozzle in about 2" and fill the tank slowly. When it shuts off I am finished. So I am pretty consistant with my refueling. Where do I get the offical plugs to fill the guage holes, the dealer? Has anyone put usb ports in those holes? Or just...

    Accuracy of Gas Gauge Improving

On my 2013 RT sometimes after filling up I can go 20 miles and the guage will read 3/4..... That is 20 miles and 1/4 tank!!!! The guage is almost useless. :banghead: Where can I get this digital guage you speak of? How difficult is it to install?
