• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Reliability

And then, you have me........I work on Spyders for a living, and I really thought when they first came out that they would be a pain in the butt to work on, and we would be working on them alot, but low and behold, they are pretty reliable. Yes, I have replaced a bunch of major parts on...

I would personally like to thank everybody that came. If it wasn't for you,(and me) we wouldn't had anybody. I don't know what happened, but the "out of towners" were the only ones that showed up. Seems like everybody was there, was from Spyderlovers. It was nice to meet you all! Thanks for...

    Our new custom Spyder

JBL Customs in Cape Coral, did the Gator Glass. Basically they can take any design, make a template, and use fiber optics to light it. Then they put it in, and paint over it. I don't know how it works, but I've seen their work in other applications, and put simply, it's sick.

    Our new custom Spyder

Nothing fancy, but we just got our Spyder back from the painter. I don't have any pics yet, but will be posted in the next couple of days. Trying to build the drama. I had to re wire the fog lights, and LED's after we got it back, so I didn't want to take a bunch of pics with finger prints...

Jacksonville powersports are nothing but CROOKS!

Well put! Good explaination! Now from my stand point. I work at a Platnium dealer as well, and I am the Spyder guy. I've had the same training as your techs. I can understand that the flat rate for bleeding the brakes is 7hrs, however that's how long it took me to replace the entire...

    Fault Codes - Help!

The VCM, and connector are located in the lowest spot of the vehicle. Moisture can creep into the "waterproof" connector. This happened on our demo unit. In florida it is not uncommoan to have 4" of rain in an hour, it was probably the case here.

    Fault Codes - Help!

If this starts to happen more often, even after you replace the relay, do this. I don't know how mechanically inclined, or flexible you are, but take your front storage box off. On the very bottom of your frame rail, you will see a square aluminum box with a bunch of hard brake lines coming out...

    Where to place jack stands?

Honestly that kind of scares me. I've replace a couple of sets of pegs. It's just cast pot aluminum. I do pretty much everything on the floor. If I have to change a tire/wheel, or do the brake squeek fix, I use a motorcycle jack. Centered in the front between the tie rod mounts. There's a...

This is what I did on Friday

BTW, that isn't my Spyder, it's a customer's. I figured I'd share my photos with you. Instructions say it takes about 2.3hrs. That's about right. The rear fender was a pain due to the license plate light wires, the rest of it was fairly easy.
