• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Garmin .srf File

OOPS! I accidentally punched in the price per gallon last Friday as being $414.90. That slightly altered my reality (like it needs any further altering!!). It's fixed now....now my average price per gallon is only slightly over $4/gal......whew!

    Garmin .srf File

With the 550, you simply drop it into the Garmin Vehicle folder and that's it. I'm stumped!

    Garmin .srf File

Does anyone know where I can find a Spyder RT Garmin .srf file for the Garmin 550. I ran across a posting for an RT .srf file for the 650 (?), followed the thread, located the file and downloaded it and, for some reason, it doesn't work with the 550. Thanks for your :helpsmilie:!!!

    Spyders in the Redwoods

Kathy and I can't wait. Just about every Spyder owner I know here in the Portland/Vancouver area is planning on attending......hopefully they've registered by now. CAN'T WAIT!!!:D:yes:

    Oh, what a difference.....

You betcha! Kathy and I will both be there. Kathy really needs to build up her endurance, especially with the Redwoods ryde coming up. We were planning on ryding to Sunriver next weekend for an organized event but that's been cancelled. Perhaps we'll just go there on our own.......maybe...

    Oh, what a difference.....

Good eyes, my friend! It's a 1971 R-60/5. Brand new in June of '71 I paid $1,695 for it. OUTRAGEOUS!!! :D

RT engine vs Gold Wing engine

I totally agree with everything said. When I was an active Iron Butt rider, I loved my Goldwing with its aux 4.5 gal fuel tank in the right saddlebag....meaning I didn't have to stop for a good five to six hours at a crack. Now that I've moved on and decided to back off a little and smell the...

    Why Don't Bikers Wave?

On my way back from San Francisco to Portland Sunday afternoon, I was going north on I-5 south or Corning, CA on my Black RT-S :spyder: with matching RT-622 when I noticed on the southbound side of I-5 an Orbital Blue RT-S :spyder: with matching RT-622. We all waved at each other like we'd been...

    Sunday June 19th Ryde

Hey guys! Just got back into town yesterday afternoon around 5pm. Went down to the Bay Area to participate in the Bay Area SRA Chapter's first annual Spyder Safety Day and BBQ. Had a fantastic time (& put 1,400 miles on the RT). My arms look like chocolate bars with all the sun I got. :opps...

    Average MPG for the RT?

I average anywhere from 22 to 39 mpg depending on a number of factors. If I'm ryding up the Columbia Gorge battling a viscous headwind, I'll get low 20's. If I'm being a good boy, going the posted speed limit I'll get 29 to 32 mpg. If I'm just ryding down the super-slab with my cruise control...

Me, too! :gaah::helpsmilie::gaah: I made the mistake of letting my wife (who is already endorsed, like a wolf in waiting!!) test drive mine in December.....now look what happened!!!

Indeed, it was a absolutely spectacular day. Not a cloud in the sky, 80+.....a far cry from all the rain we've been getting lately. The pictures pretty much say it all.....and we won't get into what those ladybugs were up to on the railing where we took the group picture! :yikes: Regarding...
