• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Down Hard

Thanks could use some good energy. - but right now it looks like pulling the motor out and replacing the shaft. Plus the dealer is thinking warrenty as the bolt, which we found, looks like it just sheared off. So both the front and rear sprockets are dinged up and so is the belt. The dealer...

    Spyder Down Hard

Had the front sprocket blow off the bike this morning. :gaah: Found the bolt that holds it in place and it has sheared off with part of the bolt still inside the drive shaft. Yamaha of Millington has the bike, as I was on my charity ride for St. Jude and 25 miles north of Millington...

DPS recall not being taken too seriously

Last Sunday during an MDA ride I had this exact thing happen for the first time in 29,000 miles, TWICE. That is why my dealer did the recall yesterday. DId not want to make the Memphis and SITS run without the recall being done.

    I was thinking....

:agree::agree::agree: The :spyder2: has opened a sense of “I can do that” that a two wheel bike never gave me. An eleven day bike trip on two wheels would NEVER have happened for me. With the :spyder2: I’m planning the second such trip again this year. May even add a day to this years...

    Ran outta gas today

:agree: I regularly fill after the light has gone one and some times with no bars and have never put more than 6.0 gallons into the tank. In a normal week I'm fueling Monday am, Tuesday pm, Thursday am, Friday pm, and whenever on the weekend.

    Contacting BRP

I sent an email last Thursday and received a reply that I can expect to be contacted on the July 6th. Between holidays and the owners event I don't think you can expect to get much help until the 6th.
  19. ElkSpyder

So what did you think of the BRP owners event?

I made it Lake Villa Saturday, had a nice ride down from Wisconsin. The registration line was a little slow, and frankly BRP could and should have included the forms they needed filled out to ride any of the toys includes in any of the emails they sent out, as a PDF. That would have helped...

    Rear Fender Support Brackets

Good morning and thanks for the post. Already did the electrical tape, and I'm going to pull the wire back along side it self. Then zip tie it there. What do you think is a long term solution to this issue, don't want to run without a rear fender, don't like the idea of the plate under...
