• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone installed the ISCI Fan Can

Does the discharge from this can blow down or horizontally to the left - if to the left, where does the hot air exit the plastic?

CB Communication and XM Satellite Systems - Are they worth it? $$

Sorry, I misremembered the acronym - I have a '99 Venture and have adjusted the SWR with a meter that I bought, but the antenna has a screw adjustment thingy in the end - I don't see any such thing on the Spyder. It looks like some plastic around the back would have to be removed to connect the...

    Loose screws

On my 2010 RT, the curved ones have a notched out place on the bottom that matches a protruding piece of the panel so that if you line that up when tightening, they will "aim" in the right direction - upward and forward a bit.

Oil Drain Plug Issue ... Solved!

A testimonial for "O" ring longevity - I have a 1998 Cadillac Catera that has an "O" ring seal for the oil pan drain plug - the oil has been changed many times by me - the "O" ring has never been changed and it has never leaked.

    front panel removal

I have searched the shop manual and don't find instructions for removing the "front panel" - the one that houses the fog light. Is it so obvious, that it dosn't need instructions - or did I miss it somewhere? I am bound and determined to adjust one of my fog lights and cannot see for the life...

RT panels off and on- video

There us one part that you made look awfully easy, that I had quite a bit of trouble with. The two "prongs" that are held on the bottom edge of the top side panel gave me a lot of trouble - the front ones are bent at a wierd angle - the one on the right side was bent so much that I couldn't...

Another easy Ram mount mod for the RT

I had a problem with access to those screws to get them started when reassembling after installing the hand brake - I finally got it using a torx tool made to fit into a screwdriver - I think that it was size T15 - it fit into the hex nuts perfectly.

BRP Fog Lights install Lamonster style

I know that this starts off talking about install on a RS. I still have a question about aiming fog lights on a 2010 RT - last weekend while installing the hand brake I looked at the foglight and pulled the cover that is over the connector to the bulb, and I could not see any way to adjust the...

Could they make it any harder...

It's not too hard to get to if you use one of those extensions that are used on trucks with dually tires - use the "push" end of the gauge or air hose - works for me.

    fuel tank size

I ran mine dry I ran my RT dry (30 yards from the pump) - took 6.03 gals to fill it full - it was surprisingly easy to push that last 30 yds. I was just a little embarrassed as 3 Harleys had just pulled into the station ahead of me to fuel up - it wouldn't have happened if road work hadn't...

    Fog light aiming

Just got my RT back from the dealership with new foglights installed - my buddy, who drove my car back said that the right fog light seemed to be flashing erratically as I rode behind him, he thought it was flickering on and off. I am sure that it was just the bouncing of the light up and down...

Rear tire pressure check & adjustment solution

I found a solution to the difficult accessibility problem for checking and adjusting the pressure in the rear tire. Get a longer pressure gauge with the dual (push or pull) fitting - the type used by truckers with dual wheels for checking the pressure. I got a digital one at a truck stop...

    Gas mileage a warranty issue?

I have a less than 1000 miles on my Spyder RT -SM5 and have gotten pretty poor mileage - on the 5 fillups that I have had in which I could check the mileage, I have averaged a little over 27 mpg with mixed highway and town riding (probably about 50/50). I don't ride particularly aggressively in...
