• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 owners unite! BRP needs to get their act together.

I must admit, I am surprised by the animosity directed toward me by some people because I voiced something that I bet some others are thinking. I know you all don't know me personally, but I am not one to complain for no reason. TO BE CLEAR: I have not experienced frame breakage, shock...

F3 owners unite! BRP needs to get their act together.

Glad it's not everyone having issues, but enough people are. If I was the only one, I'd think I got a lemon or I'm doing something wrong. Mine has only has a couple of issues so far and in that respect I consider myself much luckier than some other F3 owners. There have been a couple of...

F3 owners unite! BRP needs to get their act together.

Hi all, We have purchased some pricey machines that seem to have a growing number of issues arise and BRP is reluctantly sort-of addressing some of them while we are stuck paying out of pocket to fix the poor design on others. I am not (YET) saying that I regret buying my F3S; but I DEFINITELY...

    F3 Heated grip question

Did you ever find out what's up with the heated grips? I'm almost thinking your alternator doesn't have the oomph to keep them hot at idle (at stops, like you mentioned). I'm considering getting them myself and would like to avoid potential issues...

Has anyone installed chrome parts on their non-black F3? Any pics?

Hi all, My husband has this gorgeous black and chrome F3S and he really dislikes the chrome bits. He could plasti-dip them of course, but he keeps asking me if I'd trade my black pieces for his chrome ones (mine is the white/black/orange one in my signature pic). Has anyone done this? How...

Ordered the Clutch assist kit from BRP

Just wondering, does this mod make it more prone to fail in the long run (more parts to break down)? Or will failure of the modded parts just return the clutch to stock feel? I'm all for simple and the stock clutch doesn't bother me most of the time; but when stuck in bad traffic, it really...

    Manual vs automatic transmission.

Definitely a crowd if you include me! My F3S is a manual and I love it. My RS-S was a semiauto and I loved it too but most of the time wished it was a manual (except when stuck in super bad traffic for a long time). I do recall a number of people (in the beginning) saying that their semi-auto...

I love my new Lamonster LED fog lights but I have a question.

They cut quite easily without breaking, actually-the plastic is extremely soft and gooey and the 78 degree weather helped with it not becoming brittle. See pics to see the difference. (I cut a hole with a regular 2" hole saw; don't mind the dirt and the frayed edge, that will all be cleaned...

I love my new Lamonster LED fog lights but I have a question.

OK. Would it be a bad idea to make a hole in the original factory plastic plug and reinstall it around the light? Just wanted to make Spyder guts less exposed to outside viewers... Thanks :)

I love my new Lamonster LED fog lights but I have a question.

Hi all! I received my order of fog lights last week and finally had time to install them today. Installation was easy and the parts look to be well made. The lights look bright in daylight, I can only imagine how bright they are at night! My question is, the big plastic panel, once...

    F3S running like poo-advice needed

It's not there now but I am sure I can reproduce the scenario, being that it happened twice the exact same way. Thanks, I'll see what it says! :)

    F3S running like poo-advice needed

If the check engine light came on for a minute (while it ran horribly) and disappeared afterward, can I view any info on the Spyder? I will look through the owner's manual of course, but if the answer isn't there... Well, I never expected a new bike with under 3k miles to have issues and I...

    F3S running like poo-advice needed

Hi all. Went on a nice group ride today and my F3S misbehaved. After sitting for about 1.5 hours, it started right up but stalled almost immediately; upon restart it barely idled and if I gave it a tiny bit of gas to keep it from stalling, it backfired like crazy. Check engine light came on and...

What do the actual RS handlebars look like under the covers?

Thanks for the replies, you guys. I don't have a particular issue with the stock handlebars other than whoever replaced the ignition (before my ownership) had done a terrible job reinstalling the covers, they are all cattywampus and I'd like to at least fix that. But I thought maybe I can...

    Farkles coming slowly but surely...

When I bought the F3S in my signature pic, I had a Blue Ridge windscreen and a passenger back rest added immediately for the long trip home (Greenville, Texas to Arlington, Washington with my 11 year old riding along part of the way). Hadn't gotten any additional goodies since due to finances...

    Confused

The ones closest to the rider are called "short reach" bars (I just installed those this evening, love them so far). I believe the attitude bars are the farthest holes from the rider.

    A skosh more vroom

I have both; the 1330 has a clutch that sounds like a bucket full of rocks being shaken (when in neutral with the clutch lever released), which has been a concern for some people; and exhaust-wise, (to me) the V-twin sounds much better. Other than that, I like both very much.

What do the actual RS handlebars look like under the covers?

Hi all, I haven't had the guts to pull my RS-S handlebar cover apart yet to see what's underneath but does anyone have a picture of what the handlebars look like? As I understand, the Klingon starship-looking thing is just a cover, right? Does it have regular motorcycle handlebars underneath...

What is the Average Age of Spyder Owners? - 2nd Edition

My brother and his wife are in their 20s and they have an RT-S. I've always liked hanging out with people older than myself, get to learn lots of new things that way and they are generally "better behaved", LOL. But it's nice to see that someone else in my brother's age group rides Spyders too.

    RS-S seat question

Thanks to all for the input. Sounds like I'll likely go with the BRP seat. If anyone has a stock RS-S or BRP comfort seat they want to get rid of, let me know. Otherwise I'll get one of the seats on feebay.
