• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ARtraveler/AKspyder passed away March 2025

We were all a little shocked and greatly saddened to hear of ARtraveler's passing (aka AKspyderman from his days as a Spyder Ryder in Alaska), so much so that it prompted the creation of an 'In Memory of...' Sticky (linked below) to allow members to post memories and condolences for any of our...

What do you do for Gas Splash on plastics?? New bike - damaged paint!

Juuust bear in mind people, that the original post in this thread was put up about a year ago... ;) Looking at post #10 from 28 April last year, where he stated that he had new panels and all he had to do was to swap the latches across, I really think that Les resolved this to his satisfaction...

My thoughts on the new "4 Wheeled Ryker"

As BC says above, it is complete rubbish, with nothing substantive (if anything at all!) from BRP/Can Am in there - that guy/site and hundreds of others like them make up all sorts of crap and then post it with click-bait titles simply to get as many views and maybe even (possibly...

My Motohorn died on me this weekend

Over the years, I've found with quite a few of these compressor type horns that you need to be a little careful with where you place/mount the compressor and orient it so that its air inlet and the body drain aren't exposed to any road spray, rain/washing water, or dust/mud/bug entry; and the...

Will FOBO 2 sensors Fit Canyon Rims?

In my experience, I've found that it doesn't really bother those sensors too much at all if they are on a short stem, a long stem, a flexible stem, or a rigid stem, even if they do happen to be fitted so that they are touching something besides the stem ALL of the time (like the rim) &/or even...

People like this stuff it for everyone else!

I saw it earlier, but it looks like the r/MildlyBadDrivers Mods have since removed the vid... probably not surprisingly!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Had you ridden your Spyder for at least 10 minutes, preferably about 30 minutes, BEFORE checking the level on the dipstick as per the recommended procedure, and only then added oil if it was indicated? 🤔 Adding oil too much sooner than that/getting your oil properly warmed up that means that...

    Can BUDS detect Can-Bus issues?

I wondered if anyone would know 🤔 I certainly don't have too much helpful knowledge about speakers, nor much expertise with BUDS (altho I might have what could be called 'a fumbling grasp of the basics'!! I basically fumble along until I work out how to do things!! 😖) I didn't think it'd do...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

IIRC, the Zerks for the front 'A' arm bushes were discontinued waaay back in about 2014. 😣 I might be wrong with the year, possibly being out by a year or maybe even two, but for some reason that will probably never be revealed by BRP, Spyders haven't had any way of lubricating any of those...

    Insurance renewal rescinded (Australia)

I'm guessing that the new mob will only insure the bike & cars anyway @askitee, but would you get any further discount for transferring ALL of your vehicle insurance policies to the new insurer, or maybe even everything, if they'll do it?? 🤔 I know I did a few years back - my old insurer was...

PLEASE UPLOAD, ATTACH, AND INSERT ALL PICTURES/IMAGES AS THUMBNAILS!

There's lots of things we could do to the Forum software MRH, but every customisation, modification, or add-on that we apply might make it easier for just a few members to do some things that most others are managing to do without the changes, but by doing so, will add to the operational costs...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

Didn't you do that before?? https://spyderlovers.com/threads/has-anyone-given-their-spyder-a-name.5209/page-56#post-1668940 Or is it just that you have a delayed stutter?? 🤔

PLEASE UPLOAD, ATTACH, AND INSERT ALL PICTURES/IMAGES AS THUMBNAILS!

I've sent another DM with greater detail Dansy, but please remember that the new forum platform software was selected because it worked for the vast majority of devices, both Android and Apple, iPhones and iPads included. and so far, we have had very few issues with it not working regardless of...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Don't ya just hate that!! And it's only THEN that you realise it's whatever you put in your own bloody trailer, and of course it's that freakin' close!! It's hooked to the back of your vehicle!! You couldn't just realise that before your heart half jumped outta your throat, could you...
