• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Results of Amsoil 10W-40 lab test @ 4000 Mi

The shear strength of many synthetic is rather high again I would like to see that oil tested and see the results of different labs before I would be convinced. Of course I am not saying you should spend the money I just am making conversation so to speak. Plus the synthetics have a much lower...

Results of Amsoil 10W-40 lab test @ 4000 Mi

You know this is interesting. I would like to see test results from different labs on the same oil from the machine. I seriously question how any synthetic is shearing in 4000 miles of highway riding. maybe the machine is running too hot? I would be more interested in the ferrous content...

My decision was because I wanted to try and fix...

New guy with a 13 rt-s What problems have you guys had with your 13's

Not if you have one that has them. By the way when is last time you allowed your machine to idle as though you were riding in the city caught in traffic and took heat gun and shot the tank area next to the rear exhaust header pipe? I did I know what those temps are they would make your...

    HEAT MEDIATION Mods complete success.

Just an update: We we had ambient temps close to 90+ and I took 140 mile round trip which included highway and city driving pulling my trailer that was fully loaded and my wife and I on the Spyder. The temps recorded in the area of the gas tank and body panel areas as well as the engine temp...

New guy with a 13 rt-s What problems have you guys had with your 13's

Well for those experienced the "hot" issue their is little that is positive. Reality at times is not a great experience so with all due respect it is often we find ourselves searching for answers and that journey can be negative. Nice thing about the site is if you think the thread or post is...

New guy with a 13 rt-s What problems have you guys had with your 13's

I certainly would jot say the issues were overblown by any means. They are correctable and the mods I did have reduced heat near the fuel tank by 40% and the heat by the right foot you can use a deflector to push the heat out and around your toes. The differences I made were extensive and...

    Police Spyder

Darn near the same maneuverability of a cycle without the worry of hazards such as gravel etc.. Easy to hide when running RADAR or LASER. Just pretty darn cool (unless its 2013 RT) if you ask me. If were Law Enforcment I would rather have Spyder than lets say a............. MINI...

Making the 2013 Spyder RT-S "Perfect"

Where did the idea that the ECM update was to richen the AF? I am just wondering if we speculated that BRP was going to do this? Just wondering because my dealer has no idea because BRP keeps everything close to the vest and did not say. As far as the "heat" issue that is no longer an issue...

Making the 2013 Spyder RT-S "Perfect"

Stewart I am not sure what the new MAPS were but what I have noticed with the updates is worse performance this is the issues I am experiencing; More hesitation till optimum engine temp is reached and more popping during shifting some of that is probably because of the air box removal and...

    Jerking on take off

is it a hiccup as in the engine hesitates or chatter and engine is running well? If it is an engine hiccup or momentary drop that's means you have to let it warm up some if not get it to the dealer for some diagnostics.
