• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Seat wont open

I got it, thanks everyone.. THere was a small bolt that fell out from a bag of bolts that was laying near the mechanism. I was using those small bolts to mount my dash cam on the dash over the weekend. One was jammed in the mechanism. I was able to shine my light in there and used a slim jim to...

    Seat wont open

I tried that. that was the 1st thing I did. WHen the key is turned I can hear a solenoid click from the area of the fuses. I can pry the seat out enough to shine a light and see the latch and I can see the pin you are talking about. It appears there is a cable under or next to the pin and I can...

yes, I think you are correct about there being only one latch.. I can lift the left side up a few inches. But the latch makes no noise when pushing in the key and turning it.

    Seat wont open

2018 RT Limited. When I tried to open the seat to get gas, only one side unlatched. It seems on the RTs there are 2 latches. Only the left side is unlatching. I tried pressing real hard while turning the key, even pounding on the right side of the seat. I am not sure if there is something...

    Licensed!

we have a class M (2 wheel) endorsement. Motorcycles require a helmet, but not 3 wheels. That being said I ALWAYS wear a helmet.

    Licensed!

A 3 wheeled motorcycle license? Interesting. In Nevada, all you need is a regular motor vehicle license, like for a car, and no helmet is required either.

Do we like modular helmets or not???

I agree on the helmet. Just yesterday I saw a couple on one bike, no helmets (not required in Nevada on a 3 wheeled machine) driving like FOOLS!

    2019 RT Limited

THanks for this writeup. I just bought the 18 RT Limited and I was debating using my iphone or shopping for a GPS. Can you link your iPhone to the Sena units to make/take calls? Not that I want to talk while driving but I am thinking about emergency situations.

    Rider to passenger intercom

Following.. I am also interested in communication with my rider + the ability to use the phone especially in an emergency. I am also considering purchasing a seperate GPS (Garmin Zumo 595 LM) and I would like to link that to the ears too, if possible.

    Helmet security

Hi Arion, Yes. I assumed both side bags were the same size until another member pointed it out. I only checked the rear and the left side. I didn't know the right side is a bit bigger than the left. I can not fit my Bell XL into the right side but the Bell Medium will fit. A member mentioned gun...

    Helmet security

Cruz’r Joe, you are correct. The right side is large enough to fit my wife’s helmet. Thanks for the tip... Also, the gun lock idea saved me $100+.. But, the lidlocks are pretty cool.

    Helmet security

Hi everyone. I am new to the Spyder. I just bought the RT Limited white/chrome. Other than carrying your helmet around is there a way to secure it on the bike? I tried the built in under the seat hooks but they won’t work with my Bell helmets. They won’t fit in any of the storage...
