• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sena Questions

The mic can be off center, it won't hurt with sound transmission. The foam wind sock will filter out a lot of wind noise. Use your cell phone charger when in the house or at a hotel. John

Sweet looking ride. I have always thought Victory had the best looking jugs of any V-twin. John

    Horn

I have a 2014 RT-S and installed PIAA 85115 Superior Bass Horns in place of the stock squeaker. They are $54.25 on Amazon and advertised as 112 dB. I really like the sound. John

    Body Forcing Decisisions

Den1953, you are one year older than me and I also got my motorcycle endorsement when I was 16 or 17. Lower back problems, sciatic nerve pain, aching knees all told me this was the year to make the switch from many years of GoldWings to the RT-S. While it was difficult to give up 2 wheels (kind...

    Took that Ryde

I went from a 2005 Wing to a 2014 RTS Se6 in pearl white at the end of June. Lower back pain and sporadic numbness in my legs was the reason I had to switch. I really loved the sound and the power of the Wing but I knew it was time to give it up. I have not had much opportunity to ride the...

    Somewhat happy!!

If it is the SE6 like you said in the first post of this thread, don't let off the throttle on up shifts. Keep the throttle rolled back and just hit the paddle. John Edit - sorry, just saw your mention about pulling in the clutch, that makes it a SM6.

2015 F3 - No Camo Pics - Things are looking up!

It's obvious you don't like it and it sounds like you don't like the DN-01 either. Granted, the DN-01 was not for everybody just as the F3 will not be to everyone's liking. My wife rides a DN-01 and she loves it, it doesn't matter what other people think. Paraphrasing Lamont's comment about ice...

    2015 Can-Am Spyder Roadster Spied!

Someone mentioned a single radiator across the front. Take a closer look at one of the photos showing the right side in front of the tire. I think I see a radiator mounted sideways which could make the front grill a simple divided air scoop for pushing air through 2 side mounted radiators. John

Who's doing laser alignment in Ohio?

If you're into shopping, there is an outlet mall about 1/4 mile from the Lodi dealership.

    7 and 1/2 HOURS for 3000 mile service on Can Am Spyder - 2014 - RT-S

Back in about 2003, I bought a new Kawasaki Nomad from that location and dealt with Patty Ackers, a daughter of the owner. She was a very nice person - then. At 600 miles the transmission locked. Another dealer made the warranty repairs but I was successful in having it declared a lemon since it...

    BRP back rest

Rather than adding washers or spacers between the seat pan and bracket, I removed the 2 front socket head screws from the "receiver" the backrest plugs in to and loosened the 2 at the rear. I put 2 thin stainless steel washers between the receiver and bottom bracket at the front and reinstalled...

Riding it is not an option

To ease the transition from the ramp to the trailer deck, look for one that has what they call a "dovetail". The trailer manufacturer slopes the rear 12" or so down so it makes a less abrupt change from ramp to deck. Also look for the option of a bi-fold ramp. It is usually a little longer when...

New guy and cudos to dealer

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I have been lurking for a while and decided to dive in. Already had multiple deliveries from UPS, Fedex, and USPS so the fun has started! SPYD3R - over the last few years I have learned a lot about spinal stenosis and all the fun things pinched nerves do to the...

New guy and cudos to dealer

New guy and kudos to dealer After many years on a Wing, lower back problems dictated I move from 2 wheels to 3. Although it had not happened, I was becoming more concerned my left leg was going to give out when at a stop. The wife and I tried a 2013 RT Ltd last year and while it was OK, it...
