• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    FOBO TPMS

The app tells me to touch the phone to the sensor after the 8 seconds and re-install while touching the "OK" on the screen. Never had a sync problem.. Bob

    Spyderpops signal lights

The Longhorn mirror lights are NOT the same as the "full view" mirror mounted turn signal lights. I had the same questions and asked about it. The "full view" are turn signal only, and are plug and play with the mirror lighting only, no other connection needed. The Longhorn lights are run and...

Thinking of T-valves and FOBO ??

Yes, they will. I have a 2013 RT-S and have had no problems. I see no need for T valves on the front, as removing the sensor to add or release air I really no big deal. On the rear it's difficult to get an air chuck on the standard valve and I may have a right angle stem installed on my next...

Riding a Spyder and a Harley Trike

Was waiting for someone to bring this up. Couldn't agree more. The Y configuration is much more stable in curves, especially if you ride them aggressively. One really doesn't want to apply too much front break in a curve on a conventional trike. The Spyder is much more forgiving if you come...

Spare Key Cost for 2016 RTL?

You are correct, but there is something to be said about having a spare original. My used 2013 came with only a single key. I had a new key programmed at the dealer, and then purchased a cheap clone. I travel with one of the programmed keys and the clone as a spare. The second programmed key...

    Fast Flasher Blinker Rate

I had Spyderpops install his run/turn/brake lights on my 2013 at Spyderfest last month and have the fast flash. I actually like it. It's different enough that it really makes the bike stand out from the rear. Rode back to Kentucky with a group of 5 othrs and most commented that they liked the...

    Questions Regarding Rear Suspestion System

That is my understanding as well, and I always adjust to a stiffer setting when riding two up with my wife. That said, there have been numerous posts talking about ride height and that the system adjusts to maintain a given height. Just trying to get some clarification. Bob

    Questions Regarding Rear Suspestion System

So if I understand correctly, for any given weight load, you can vary the ride height by adjusting the pressure up or down on the air bag. Is there an optimum height we should be trying to achieve? One that would require different pressures for different loads on the seat? Bob

    Adding Oil Between Changes

2013 RT-S. How much oil is needed to bring the level up to full from the "add" line? Thanks Bob

    Questions Regarding Rear Suspestion System

I don't quite understand what the rear suspension system is actually supposed to do, based on what I've read here. The indicator on the dash shows adjustment from "hard" to 'soft", but comments here seem to indicate it adjusts to maintain the correct ride height based on rider/passenger...

Spyder RT 2013 owners. Question ?

You can also give any dealer a call and they can check on their computer for the status of any recalls. And you are very welcome. Enjoy the bike. Bob

Spyder RT 2013 owners. Question ?

I bought a 2013 RT last summer that had not had the heat recall done. Rode it home, took it straight to the local dealer and they did the recall for me. The bike is fine now, with the exception of more heat than I'd like on my right foot. There is a fix for that which I'll take care of...

Best Laid Plans, Hope Everyone Made It Home Safe

Six of us from central KY made the decision to leave on Friday due to the rain forecasted along our route home for both Saturday and Sunday. We had rain for the first 90 minutes or so, then skirted rain showers for the rest of the day. It's about a 12 hour ride for us. Bob

    2013 RT Coolant

After removing the access panel it's easy enough to see but awkward to remove the coolant reservoir cap, but I'll be darned if I can see any level marks or the fluid level itself. What do you have to do? Put a light bulb down in the tank? Not having any coolant problems but just doing a...
