• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I Got a Thumbs down Yesterday!

I have a riding buddy who often says, "There are many in this country who have served, fought and died to protect the freedom of all to express their stupidity." Guess that Harley rider who gave you a thumbs down was a prime example of those we served to protect. BTW I admire the "nose art "...

    New Hindle

Queen "B' has a Spyder1Attitude on her :ani29:. It has a louder growl than the Hindle we replaced. Just rode Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky with no problem from an LEO's.

    Cheap tow behind trailer !

The trailer we pull has 8" tires. They hold up real well as long as you don't overload. Pulled mine to TN and back last year, will do it again leaving Saturday.

What size is the evap vent hose?

Just did the missus' 08 RS. If I remember right it's 3/8" ID. Bought the hose a O'Reilly in a precut package. Perfect length to run forward and exit from a hole under radiator.

    "Biker" attitudes... Good and Bad...

I apologize up front if I ruffle the feathers of riders in my home state of Iowa while restirring the helmet debate. When dear wife and I took a trip north to visit family I couldn't help but notice that a large percentage of the helmetless riders wouldn't wave. Didn't matter whether they...

    Question??? With all respect.

After forty years of being off of two wheels my wife agreed to let me ride again. Got back into riding on a Honda Shadow 750. Soon upgraded to a V-Star 950 Tourer. First year of owning the V-Star we did a vacation trip to Gatlinburg with two other couples. After that trip and riding with friends...

Have you crashed on the road?

When I was in college way back in 1969 I was going to work riding my Suzuki 500 two-stroke. No helmet, of course, still young and knew it all. This old guy decided to make a left turn into a drive way, no signal, when my foront wheel was already past his back bumper. Took the ditch,went...

How to get vinyl back to black

Used SC1 Clear Coat made by Maxima Racing Lubricants on the lower black of Queen B's '09 GS. Does a wonderful job of restoring the black to the black. One caveat, this is a silicon based product, so if you want to attach anything with adhesive, do it before you use the SC1. I found out the...

check engine light on but the kill switch hit while running it clears

So Far So Good Queen B's '08 was showing check engine light about every other start up. Since it has recently turned 12,000 miles I decided it was time to change spark plugs and opted for new wires from Bajaron also. So far after plug and wire change have had no check engine light and less...

Are There Still People Out There Who Don't Think Helmets Are Necessary?

I lucked out when I was in my twenties ("Back When I Knew it All"). Riding with no helmet. Survived a hard drop on my Suzuki 500 when some farmer decided to turn in for a beer at the Last Chance Saloon when I was already in the process of passing him. The good Lord was looking out for a fool. I...
