• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    the best sounding exhaust ???

I have a 2013 RS and I bought an HMF and love it! It has a nice deep tone that sounds great at idle or full throttle. The best part is it's not a super loud pipe and it is by far the best bang for the buck. I have about 4000 miles on mine (including Ohio winter riding) and it still looks like...

    Pricing F3 - Special Spyders - n More

    SM VS SE

I also have an SM and am glad I bought it. Manual is always more reliable and it still lets me feel a little like I'm riding a motorcycle. Plus I really like the idea of being able to pull the clutch in to bring the drivetrain to zero power if needed.

    Custom Speakers by Hays

I have a nice assorted playlist named "Motorcycle" on the iPod that I cruise too.

    Custom Speakers by Hays

So far so good with the speakers! They have been beaten around for a couple thousand miles, in the rain several times, have been blasted with volume & bugs and they are still working fantastic.

for all of us with bad backs

I am 6'6" and made a set of highway pegs for my RS. It is a huge relief to be able to extend my legs on a longer ride. I agree and would recommend them to anyone tall and/or with back issues.

Anyone besides Doc trurbod one of these things?

UNTRUE!! My nanny kicks in if I turn sharp and try to pull out into traffic. That is one of the most unsafe feelings I've ever had!

Most annoying ? about your Spyder

I don't mind the questions most of the time either. After all I'd guess that most of us current Spyder owners have asked someone a few questions before we bought. But I tend to do what I'm best at when people are asking me stupid questions just because they are bored, I turn into Mr. Sarcastic!!

    2015 F3 pricing

I say it will be priced in typical BRP fashion (A.K.A. Overpriced) for the service you get after the dealer gets your money!

    Cost.

I bought a new 2013 RS and have really enjoyed it. I haven't any real issues other than the fuel fume smell and a little heat issue (same issue most other riders have had). A Spyder with 10,000 miles for $9,000 seems to be the going rate. As for maintenance, I just changed my oil for the first...

Any ccruise control recommendations for 2011 RS?

I really like the Kaoko Throttle Lock. It is a good looking piece and works very well.

Tunes for my 2013 ST S

If your handy I posted a DIY on custom speakers on my RS. I just got back from an 800 mile ride and they sounded great even at 80mph. I've got under $200 in the whole setup.

    Russell Day Long Seat

I bought a RDL seat about 1500 miles ago and love it! I have a 2013 RS, but none the less it's a great seat. I'm 6'6", 265# and have had zero issues with the seat. I really like the "wings" that the seat has. It is almost like sitting in a car seat. The only thing I wish I would have done is had...

Which type of helmet do your prefer for "cruising"?

I typically wear my G-Max modular helmet. It is by far the best bang for the buck as far as helmets go and it matches the color of my Spyder. I use to wear a Scorpion full face, but I like the ability to open the face on the modular. I also have a G-Max 3/4 in the same color, but tend to wear...

    Back road riding with motorcycles

I ride an RS and can tell you that tire pressure plays a big factor when riding back/curvy roads. As others have said it is a learning curve to get use to the Spyder, but it can be done. Rule #1 would be loosen up and let the Spyder do it's thing. I think the biggest issue people have is...

BRP Spyder investigation started. What will happen?

I know that the majority on SpyderLovers is complaining about the 2013 RT's. Well I can tell you have the same issue with my 2013 RS. I've had to add a "heat resistant" insulation to the inside of the body panels just to ride it in hotter weather. I also get the strong gas fume smell (mostly...

    Spyder or 1980s Hyundai

I think that you need to work on your personal issues before you worry about fixing the Spyder. If you have treated it like you have the people on this site that are clearly trying to help you then I understand why it doesn't run. I can only guess how thankful the dealer is for your purchase...
