• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    billet anti-vibe bar end kit

Bar vibration on my bike pretty much gone after installing them. Dresses up the bar ends, too.

    Comfort seat questions

Thanks Scotty. I can deal with wiping off dust with a wet rag, it's the bad semi-permanent marring of the sticky stock seat vinyl that I have the problem with. At a little over a thousand miles, the seat should not look this bad already. Sounds like the bag will work okay and that it probably...

    Comfort seat questions

I have to ride several miles of gravel roads everytime I leave my house. The tacky vinyl material on the stock seats holds dust, then my butt grinds it into the vinyl. The result is wear and marks that just look terrible and don't buff out, even after trying other's suggestions. Others here may...

    Spyder Key Holder

Thanks for this. When I bought my Spyder the dealer swore up and down that it only came with one key even when I pointed out that the owner's manual says otherwise. Fact is, they lost the other one and never fessed up AND wouldn't budge on springing for a replacement. I know times are tight, but...

    Spyder on Motorweek TV show

They actually did a road review of the Spyder -I think it was last summer. I believe it is still on my dvr. They also reviewed the Piagio(?) 3 wheeled scooter. They liked the Spyder just fine, but not so much on the gas mileage.

Well, I finally did it – I bought a Spyder

    Congratulations! Red is fastest--

    Spyder Wandering

I ride on country roads as well so I know exactly what you are talking about. All of the above are good suggestions but I can tell you that roads with irregular paved roads with high crowns or low dips on the right edge can really wake you up in a hurry if you aren't expecting it. Three wheels...

    Givi windshields

That's where I got mine. 120 mile ride on Friday and no problems but I don't think it would work well for someone too tall. It really collected the bugs. I'm about 5'8" and it's about nose level for me. http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu89/garyworth/front.jpg...

    RPM shift points?

Thanks for your response and the link. I'll just keep the revs up, sounds like the engine can handle it. I understand why it doesn't have a sixth gear, but it would sure be nice.;)

    RPM shift points?

I don't mean for this to be a loaded question but here goes. I'm trying to figure out the rpm sweet spot to where shifting into 5th gear doesn't feel like it's bogging the engine. There is nothing I can find in the owner's manual that talks about rpm ranges for the gears. I have about 350 miles...

    Mels monster Garage Windshield

I just put the GIVI on. I'm about 5'8" and the top of the shield is about nose-level. I wear a full face helmet and have not noticed any severe head bobbling when riding. Might be a problem for someone taller. Sure beats the stock shield. The top has a curved lip and does a nice job. Some have...

Serious about buying a Spyder but have questions

I agree completely with the Spyder's agility at high speed, almost too agile. Lightening up on the grips really does help. I've also found that the bike is rock solid in crosswinds but my body tends to flap around. I'm fairly small and I find that a lot of my upper body weight tends to migrate...

Serious about buying a Spyder but have questions

I wonder how many non-riders bought a Spyder for the novelty factor and then realized that there is the continual "dodging cagers" issue that all riders have to deal with? Every bike has that risk factor. Could explain why there are a few out there with hardly any miles. Just my $.02.

Serious about buying a Spyder but have questions

I've only had mine a few weeks and the weather has not been very cooperative to put many miles on. But it is indeed a unique ride designed with a clean sheet of paper. The stability and monitoring systems add safety and confidence, a definite plus if you plan on passengers. It is an open air...

    Well I took the leap

I just got mine and I might be a little biased towards red. But I bought a demo so I didn't have much choice. Bottom line, I think you'll end up more thrilled with ownership than color once it's parked in your garage. I know I am. Congratulations!
