• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To Brake or Not To Brake....

I'd like to have one as standard equipment for a moderate increase in price. I've been riding for 50 years and would be fine with just a foot brake if the position was adjustable. I have to lift my size 13 boot from the riding position to apply the brake. I don't like that. Slows my reaction...

I know , I know, this is old news (Hand Brake lever)

Reaction Time This was my first, and still is my biggest, complaint about the design of the Spyder. On every other motorcycle I have owned (15) over the last 50 years, I have felt comfortable in having my foot over the brake and ready. I wear a size 13 boot and there is no way I can ride...

    Route 66 Dream Trip

Standin on a corner .... I rode through Winslow & stood on the corner just a few weeks ago. They have a nice little memorial area, with a bronze statue of (Jackson Browne?) with a guitar, and a flat-bed Ford parked by the curb.

    downshifting from first to neutral

Best to park in neutral Lamonster reminded me very emphatically that you should always park SE5 in neutral. Leaving it in gear does not prevent it from rolling, and if your battery goes dead you will not be able to get it out of gear to move it.

    Parking Brake: Bad; Cowtown: Good

New RT Limited, 5600 miles in 7 weeks, getting broken in for the AZ trip in October. Sitting in the drive-up lane at the bank and the parking brake won't disengage--horrors! The dreaded orange screen says BRAKE FAILURE PARKING BRAKE FAULT. Finally it disengages and I head directly home, no...

Corbin vs. Ultimate Seats Which is better?

I always read seat reviews because that has always been my first and most important accessory, and I appreciate comments from others. In 1983 I bought a Diamond Custom Seat for my Yamaha Venture, and I liked it so well I have had 2 more, on another Venture and my Gold Wing, for about 200,000...
