• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    1st oil change.

Stick with the plan You got an excellent price, I've read some double and triple that cost. My dealership not only did all the required checks but also addressed all the issues I had and corrected them. In addition they allowed me to watch and schooled me on various aspects of the process. If...

    Passenger grip Heaters

The HEAT is ON. Loosened up top mid side cover at the top rear(2) screws and popped the battery cover which is an integral part to the inside cover of the passenger grip. Once removed it was evident that the plug was not fully engaged because you could see the orange colored seal on the plug. I...

    Passenger grip Heaters

Guess I'll depanel and look for a disconnect. The lights do not come on at all, and I'm not sure if the front and back are on the same fuse, the front ones are operable however. I did check with passenger on the seat and moving.

    Passenger grip Heaters

On today's ride I tried to show DW how to turn on the heated passenger grips, however no heat. After we got home I checked to see if the 2012 RT Audio Convenience actually came with the bike or not. After all I thought there were speakers in the rear also, but just because the grills are there...

    RETIRED WITH HARLEY FATBOY

Just got off an Electra Glide. The change to a Spyder is quite different. It took me 2K to really feel comfortable, a 50 mi test ride after owning Harleys for years almost shut me down on my decision to switch to the Spyder, I'm glad I made the switch. I have a RT SM5 the manual made me feel a...

    Apple iPhone Camera Mount

This was a RT. I'm not sure if the RS has the small Airwing deflectors and adjustable windshield like the RT. I did test fly the helmet mount and it worked very well. Your body dampens some of the vibration and shudder and you target everything with your head, but you have to stop and take your...

    Apple iPhone Camera Mount

During the Lamonster Bar-B-Que ride I saw every video camera set up known to man or woman. Here's the direction I went. After seeing several posted videos, I knew I had to have the capability, and at the same time convert or use what I had, an iPhone 4. Optrix makes a Sport case with an enhanced...

    Remove seat

Yes Yes it can be done. Removal of the backrest just gives you a little more working space. If you are nimble or have non arthritic hands, and don't drop anything it can be done. Just pull forward and down on on the crested or built up portion on the passenger area of your seat. You're next...

    Remove seat

Everyones right so far By all means cover any opening you see with duct tape. Removal of the passenger backrest is truly helpful because it gives you a little more room to reach the two hinge mout bolts at the rear of the seat. Your first step should be raise the seat, plug what opening you can...

how long to remove an rt seat?

Glad I'm not alone. Covering the tool storage access ports is a must, but I always miss one. Been lucky so far by including a telescopic and flexible magnet to the tools needed list. Works for tools but not all of The Spyders lost fasteners, most are non magnetic. ;):agree: Seat removal takes...

Installed the SpyderPops skid plate today

Your right, it doesn't, I was just stating what could be turned off and the uses for the uncoupled gauges, one of which could be an analog ambient temperature gauge. My bump skid has not affected my MFD's digital temp that I can notice, but this could be an option for augmenting the temperature...

Display change If you have analog gauges for fuel and temp, remove the 4screws from your dash panel and pull dash out far enough to see back of gauges. Unplug gauges, when you reboot or turn the key on you will now see digital information for the unplugged gauges displayed on the right and...

    anybody getting calls from BRP?

Twice for me My side panel has left me twice, but I've been lucky enough to have my riding partner retrieve it before it was smashed beyond recognition, still it is quite scarred. Both times I was on smooth level roadways and accelerating beyond 60. I'm trying to follow the recommended...

Installed the SpyderPops skid plate today

Jack Spyderpops put my bump plate on at Lamonster's BBQ, he used a aluminum floor jack that he said he got from Sears (Craftsman), it was a great looking jack, and it seems to work well for him. You might try to contact him via his Vendor site, I'm sure he'd be able to help with the particulars...

    Chasing the Side cover again!

Twice now my riding buddy has risked himself to save my ($&@") side cover. Both times he has seen it go airborne and has been able to stop and dodge traffic to make a recovery before some 18 wheeler renders it Unrecognizable. I have the new style grommets and I do check to make sure the top tab...
