• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Is this common?

Well, since the credit union owns Burp and I have to pay them every month to ride it; 'work' is the only place that pays me to be there. Retirement is a worthy goal, I'd like to do it again. I have noticed that since we haven't had triple digit temps for a couple days, my 5 mile trip to work...

    Is this common?

Since I got my Spyder, I've been wishing I lived further away from work?

    Smoky Mountain Rumble

If I could get 25 people to contract to pay me $100/month not to go back to work, I'd take it and retire, again.

    Still under 100 degrees

So I rode up to KC Chiefs training camp in St Joseph, MO today. Not a bad little ride except the time sitting in the hiway waiting for our turn to go down the one lane hiway...

SHIPPING SPYDER TO HAWAII - FINAL REPORT

Although it's beautiful there, I'm afraid I'd go buggers. Couldn't do submarines 'cause I gotta stick my head outside every three days or so. Thing riding a Spyder on an island would be like being stuck on a big NASCAR track...

Erags was on a mission yesterday...

Well, personally, I hope they take care of you like they should. Professionally, I'm interested, because my job here at Fort Leavenworth is to brief those who are separating, on benefits and programs, and I like to know how things are working so I can tell them. I also take claims for three...

    Driving on military base

The gate guard at Fort Leavenworth today told me that the reflective items are not required during daylight, as I came on post with my bright yellow vest over my long sleeve shirt.

    Board question

If I leave without logging out, does the board still list me as being on?

    +for something completly different...

Any recommendations on ride wear, jackets mostly, given the temp swings here, -20 - 100+ fahrenheit; is there anything that I can use year round without buying multiple outfits?

Erags was on a mission yesterday...

Here's hoping for cool breezes and good news. Heard anything from VA yet?

    Driving on military base

This is worth about two cents, so thought I'd put it in. I ride in to work most days. Clothing requirements are the same as already described, but don't need a sticker to get on post. ID/Driver's license gets me on and off. To get a sticker, I'd have to do the safety course, which they only...

    A revisit to the dealer

Are the digital readouts any more accurate than the analog readings? Any idea on the effect on the warranty removing those gauges?

    Spyder into Time Machine

Cool morning and I have the day off, so I turned my Spyder into a time machine. Went out for a ride and found myself in the neighborhood of the first job I had after retiring from the Navy. Since it is a Driver's License office, I picked up the Motorcycle book so my wife can start to get her...

Well, today is the big day...

VA has a Fast Track program for VN vets with certain AO conditions. https://www.fasttrack.va.gov/AOFastTrack/help2 I recommend working through one of the Veterans Service Organizations, VFW, Legion, DAV, etc.

    Before the heat

Went out later to take my son up to the Ford dealer to pick up his car. Got some interesting looks out of the service area.

New guy myself, but handling/safety, comfort, pretties.

    Before the heat

Was a good ride, nice to get on the turnpike, actually get to use 5th gear. No wind today, so it was extra easy. Got back before the temps broke 80.

    Right shoulder is shot

Would like some input from any SpyderRyders who have had a prosthetic replacement. How long did it knock you off your Spyder? Afterwards do you still have the ability to control your machines? PM me if you don't want to respond on the board. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to keep...

    Before the heat

Sets in later today, I'm gonna get some miles on Burp. Out 24-40 to Lawrence, then back on the turnpike; I want to get some turnpike experience on my own before I load up my wife for a trip.
