• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

THE CAR WASH AND A DIP STICK

With all the "funnin" y'all do in these threads, I am flabberghasted at anyone actually taking me seriously in regard to the car wash remark. I hope no one in their right mind would clean their spyder by going through a car was or even using the power wands. I thought of it while typing that...

    PARKING BRAKE POSITION

The parking brake worked with the previous owners approximately 6" long parking brake extension/modification for a while, but then the warnings began. Having removed that modification and reinstalling the rubber piece, it works now. The floor board did not interfere with the pedal when it was...

    PARKING BRAKE POSITION

PEDAL RESOLUTION MAYBE I think the previous owner modified the parking brake pedal and having seen him and his wife, I think I understand why. He had the steel under the rubber tread lengthened. So, I removed that extension that allowed the rubber part to touch the skirt, and then removed the...

    PARKING BRAKE POSITION

Pedal I will go take the rubber part off and go for a ryde. My SE5 has running boards and I wonder if that has anything to do with this situation. I can see no evidence of breakage, warping, or a broken part. I wish I could post nice big pics like yours. I have a photoshop type program and...

    PARKING BRAKE POSITION

I've been told that the sporatic "brake-pedal" message and the red blinking light has nothing to do with making an adjustment. The day I brought HOT RED ( HR ) home, the top side of the rubber pad on the parking brake was touching the little 3/8" flat inward turned bottom edge of the Tupperware...

THE CAR WASH AND A DIP STICK

I watched the video clip posted by PILO that shows, or shows for some, how to adjust a parking brake. At the beginning of the video the guy talks about... the brake pedal going all the way down, and you can hear the pedal going down with the click click click noise. According to him, the...

    MOTORCYCLE VOLTAGE MONITORS

I appreciate everyone's advice. My ryde is a 2008 GS SE5. I'll see if I can find a volt meter like y'all suggest. Where can I get a cup holder for this '08? I don't see anywhere to mount it unless I remove the CB radio which I could do b/c I don't use it at all. I hate the mic in my helmet...

    Question??? With all respect.

My FIRST Ryde: 2008 SE5 Bought 3/11 In March 2011 a long time mechanic friend in TN advised another good friend to check out the :spyder2: before buying a pink Harley trike. She did not buy the Harley. She came down here from TN for a visit, rode behind me on HOT RED, and was bitten. I never...

    YUASA SMART SHOT 900

After reading lots of posts about battery tenders and battery chargers, I went out to the garage and got the device that was included with my 2008 SE5. It is a YUASA SMARTSHOT900 BATTERY CHARGER MAINTAINER. On the front of the devise it says it's a MODEL #12V900. On the back it says it is a...

    Battery Life

What is the typical life of a CanAm battery? The previous owner of my 2008 GS SE5 kept it on a tender all the time. After 16 months of ownership, I have to charge it almost every time I want to ride it now, even if I rode it 10-15 miles the day before. Also, not only do I get the "low...

    Brake Squeak

Finally getting fed up with the squeak/squeal noise, here I am trying to find out what to do about it. Not long after I purchased my 2008 GS SE5 in March 2011 with almost 1500 miles on it, I asked about the squeal noise on here and someone suggested getting the 3rd generation pads. I disliked...
