• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

Wait, i'm confused, you put the spyder pops on UNDER the new grill? How did that fit with the spoiler? I didn't realize it at first because you had the silver paint on the orange piece.

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

Well, after two weeks of dealing with BRP, BRP came back to the dealer and said they won't do anything under warranty, that I'm the first one to report the issue, and that it "wasn't meant for driving/scraping backwards" WTF? Really? There is a f***ing reverse gear on the spyder, what a...

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

Here is the bottom view. As I mentioned above, its like a small skid plate, the ridges are clearly there to give it rigidity since you can't see them, and they taper and get shorter and rounded in the front. So, again, I'm thinking they had a major brain fart... "people will only hit these...

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

Hah, you know, if they molded a piece underneath that covered the holes that was orange, and didn't have the jagged breaks in it, I'd agree, it is a good look.

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

Does it really? I think the RS sat lower... either that or the wheel position caused it to scrape more often. I used to hit the curb and speed bumps with my RS-S *all* the time, it never happened with the F3.... this doesn't lower the F3 by more than half an inch tops. Interestingly the...

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

You mean looked cool right? The style or function didn't last all that long

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

To be fair, my RS did it all the time, I thought it was new for the F3, but its a new season and I couldn't remember. And its not like the driveway is steep or the curb is tall. If it can't back out over this, what on earth can it clear??

Beware the new Spyder SS Grill

So I bought my SS grill from my dealer about 2 weeks ago when they had a spring sale. It installs real easy, looks real nice. But there is something I didn't notice, that Can-Am doesn't point out. The old grill stopped at the bottom edge of the Spyder. The new grill wraps around and provides...

    F3-S trailer hitch?

Nice. I looked the specs up on how big they are, can you fit a helmet in them? Do they fit on a stock spyder other products of theirs to make it fit? Ouch, $1968... I was already cringing at BRP's $1330 price.

    F3-S trailer hitch?

Ah didn't notice the swing arm was different, its mostly covered by the storage compartments. I don't have a trailer at the moment, so I'm more or less venting and asking why, since I've wanted more utility out of it. When I saw the storage was built on and not an add-on, I was kind of like...

    F3-S trailer hitch?

I was disappointed to see the new trailer hitch only works for the touring versions of the F3... (My dealer wasn't sure when they sold me the F3 a year ago, but they thought a trailer hitch would be available when I asked...grrr) Any reason it won't fit on an F3-S? Is the backend / wiring...

    Accessory status

Thats kind of funny if thats the case... I mean, I'm assuming the brackets were designed in house by BRP....and BRP has the full blown CAD file for the entire Spyder.... and most CAD systems at that level allow for testing of movement and looking for interference..... How the hell did they miss...

What is everyone's status on accessories? I'm still waiting on: Akropovik Exhaust Aux Lights USB Power Socket Driver Backrest Passenger Backrest Heated Grips What I've gotten: Black Stripes Gauge Spoiler Route 129 Windshield

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

Alright, so I ran the tank down and filled up again. I got 2 bars at 133 Miles Filled up at 149 Miles 4.78 Gallons 31MPG (That should start going up, I started using EcoMode shifting and changed to the Route 129 windshield from the gauge spoiler mid-tank) When I left the gas station, I was...

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

Tom, I think you are misunderstanding that last one... The gas does automatically shut off when filling, but the gallons it put in seemed low and when I turn the Spyder on the top partial-bar doesn't fill in, so I figured it wasn't really full and tried putting more fuel in, and it splashed...

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

Also, do you guys get the last bar to display? On my RS it was a little triangle at the top? My F3 never shows that top part after filling up, it only displays the last full rectangle when full. If I pump the handle and put more fuel in, it spills out onto the top of the spyder, so the tank...

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

Your numbers seem much better than mine regarding the gauge. 25% with two bars, that sounds correct (2 of 8 bars after all).... I'm getting 33% at 1 bar.... it just seems like something is off with mine. You are putting more gas in than I am even though I'm showing I'm on empty and you aren't...

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

What have others been seeing on their fuel gauge? When it gets down to 1 bar and my fuel light comes on, I have filled it up and the pump tells me it only put 4.8 gallons in for a 7.1 gallon tank. That leaves 2.3 gallons in the tank. Does reaching the last bar (of 8?) really indicate 33%...

    Aftermarket saddlebag options for F3

Explain to me how you see the ST as more of a touring option than the F3??? The F3 has the 6-speed transmission and is better geared for long highway rides The F3 has both passenger and driver backrests The F3 has a bigger tank and better gas milage The F3 has a seat much more comfortable than...

    Aftermarket saddlebag options for F3

A two seated machine is meant to be a solo machine, nice. I rarely have a passenger, no need for a massive overweight RT. I'm in my 30s, not 80s. Since you wanted to stereotype I thought I would as well.
