• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Continuing Saga with my 2012 RS-S Lemon

Some major electrical disconnects are done while taking things apart to put the lights in, its possible and has crossed my mind. Doesn't help that each time the dealer gets the spyder I have to go 60 miles and leave it with them for a week and a half. The other thing that occurs to me is a lot...

Continuing Saga with my 2012 RS-S Lemon

Continuing Saga with my 2012 RS-S Lemon

For the most part, it was great, until about 9000 miles. As soon as I put money into it and added the hindle, the HID lights, fog lights, 12V port, trunk liner, etc it started acting up.... I continued to trust it would get fixed and added a comfort seat and saddlebags after that... but this is...

Continuing Saga with my 2012 RS-S Lemon

Last time I posted, the second dealer blamed all my problems on an oil change they claimed hadn't happened and that my oil was low. It didn't fix problems, brought it back to the first dealer and they replaced my gear box sensor which they indicated tested bad for the second time. I'm still...

Tunnel of Trees Ride Oct 11-13 (MI)

    SE5 Problems Again

Interestingly, the original dealer has been cooperative and has paid the second dealer directly for the oil change. They however told me they had kept the gaskets from the "original" oil change a month ago and therefore the oil change was performed, which I don't know anyone who holds onto...

    SE5 Problems Again

So here is the latest, I got a call back from dealer # 2 today They told me my oil is really low and dirty and they think that is the cause of the issue, they asked to do an oil change. I of course we stunned, because dealer #1 charged me for an oil change 4 weeks ago and after I got it back...

    Guess RS crowd doesn't rate

While many sport bikes have 1000cc engines and smaller, they also don't have a 700lb curb weight. The RS-S needs a larger engine (option) for people who want real sports performance. That said, I find this interesting. BRP launched a new SeaDoo (The Spark) with the Rotax 990 in it... And then...

    2014 can-am line up... Here I go.

Damn, a 1330CC 3-cyl 6-speed transmission on the RT... I'd trade my 2012 RS-S in if the RS-S comes out with that option in a year...

Anyone up for a Tunnel of Trees (MI) ride this October?

Is the ride completely in the lower peninsula? You listed 10/11 - 10/13 but only listed a meet-up the morning of 10/12. Is there nothing planned for 10/11? I would love to go, I'm about to bring my spyder back to the shop for a 3 time in a month for "issues"... hopefully it will be ridable by...

    SE5 Problems Again

Well, I contacted the nearby dealer and they said 2 weeks just to get to looking at it... Contacted another one ran by a large auto dealer and they said they can have it looked at in 2 days... I can't even call the dealer that has been servicing it, for some stupid reason they are closed on...

    SE5 Problems Again

When it "first" started? I was at 500 miles and the GPS sensor was replaced. In May of this year, around 6000 miles it refused to transition between 1st, N, and Reverse at times without turning the machine off and back on.... but the problem went away after a few weeks and I didn't get it in...

    SE5 Problems Again

Figures, I've had my spyder back 5 days since the dealership told me they couldn't find the reason for my strange throttle behavior last week which I thought may have been gear box related. Now today going down the high way it had difficulty shifting from 4th into 5th, it slipped for a second...

    BRP Saddle Bags

Never mind, the lesson learned is triple check my work :) A warning to anyone installing these, when you are doing your adjustments with the mono-frames installed, it feels very sturdy because of the 3 points of contact. When I went back and checked, the lower brackets were all fine because...

    Hindle questions

I have the same issue, I just got it back on 9/3 and the dealer tech told me the stuttering is a "normal issue" with hindle and 2 brothers exhaust.... Today the weather was 95 while I was out and about, and it felt at times like the engine was going to die while i was sitting at stop lights...grrr

    BRP Saddle Bags

You would think its standard on the 2012... the nut was definitely welded on before they painted the frame... kind of weird. Alright, new sticking point. So I followed everyone's suggestion of putting the mono-frames on before tightening things down. The alignment seems fine, everything goes...

    BRP Saddle Bags

I ended up installing it on the inside of the front part of the frame, inside the channel. Everything appears to look good *whew* It was much harder to fit the tools in, it was already a tight fit. The bolts included with the kit wouldn't fit, however the throw-away bolts from the passenger...
