• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ovreheated - Went into Limp Mode

Glen, responded to your PM. Was not aware of the different part numbers. If I'm remembering correctly the BRP tech said anything up to 2011 would fit my bike just fine. There are a lot of folks on this forum that are extremely knowledgable but I aint one of them. I highly suggest you...

Ovreheated - Went into Limp Mode

Glen, No worries, couldn't find the part number so gave spal a call. I purchased and installed part # 30100403 http://www.spalusa.com/store/main.aspx?p=itemdetail&item=30100403 . I too was worried about adding more electrics to the bike but decided to take a chance because the bike temp...

Ovreheated - Went into Limp Mode

I haven't had a chance to install yet as I've been laid up since Durango. Wife went out to the garage to get part number off of it. 20-5H0c2. I just called the dealer up and asked him for a 2011 RS fan. It cost $221 (not installed) I don't know if it's the "typical" fan that I put on my...

Ovreheated - Went into Limp Mode

My GS overheats in Houston traffic as well. I've put a spal fan on the oil cooler that I flip on when I get stuck in traffic and I'm changing out out the stock radiator fan for a later model RS fan. BRP tech said there was a benifit to it and another Spyderlover (sorry I can't remember his...

    HOT FOOT ON RIGHT SIDE-HELP!!!!

I tried the boot option but it didn't work for me. I couldn't find anything that didn't cause pressure sores. I've got the spyder pops stuff and it helps the bike quite a bit but it didn't do much for me. After my spyder burned a hole in my ankle about the size of a silver dollar I made...

    Google Maps to GPS

Tyre is another option I haven't been able to try this out just yet as the Garmin I own should be sitting in the Smithsonian and it won't import GPX files but the there is a free version of Tyre. http://www.tyretotravel.com/ should you be interested. I have played around some on the computer...

    Need Help With "Exhaust Stuttering"

Try doing a search on threads re: purge valve issues to see if this might be your issue. My bike used to run like crap after I rode it for 20 or 30 minutes on hot days. It was fine as long as I was doing 30+mph, but as soon as I had to slow down for traffic it would start running rough...

NEW PC-V, TB dual exhaust, and...

Take a look at the KewlMetal Air filter kit. Some folks say it not as quiet as the stock airbox but I think listening to the sound of the intakes sucking air when you open up throttle just adds to the experience.

NEW PC-V, TB dual exhaust, and...

The Autotune suggests adjustments in a trim table that you can send to your fuel table based on the information it picks up on the wideband O2 sensor. Once you have it installed just take your bike out for a ride and then plug in your pc to the autotune (with the bike running) to view the trim...

    Heated Gloves vs. Handgrips

I recently purchased Gerbings Jacket and Gloves. I chose the leather gloves and picked up a can of aerosol waterproofing. The gloves are comfortable and keep my hands warm. Since the gloves plug into the jacket the I don't have a lot of wiring to contend with which is nice. There are a lot...
