• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New RTs

Not so sure there is a "shortage" in all parts of the country, just in the parts where they are selling as fast as the dealer can get them.. My dealer sold 2 RTs in as many days plus her demo after or during an open house.. I figure there are dealers in some areas that are having trouble moving...

    Ok, I Searched (Oil Pressure)

Update.... Talked to my dealer's tech this morning.. gave him the condensed version of my original post.. he said as long as it didn't go into limp mode and the oil pressure orange screen has not come back and it is running smooth, it was most likely the sensor reacting to me starting it back...

    Spyder-In-A-Box

Congrats on your Black Spyder...Understand the heat and did my share of riding in the Alabama heat and humidity on my HD... managed to get in about 130 miles yesterday in those kind of temps on the :spyder2:... loved the ride (in spite of a minor problem - see shop talk), but still hate the heat...

    Ok, I Searched (Oil Pressure)

Oh and BTW... did I say in spite of the heat, the orange screen, the more I rode, the more I relaxed and more fun I had... the Blue Spyder Rocks....:2thumbs:

    Ok, I Searched (Oil Pressure)

Thanks Scotty... I was hoping that would be the answer as all seems, sounds and runs well... the oil level bugs me, but I am used to dry sump systems.. my HD would puke all over the driveway on occasion if I overfilled it... scared me the first time, after that I just put an oil pan under it if...

    Ok, I Searched (Oil Pressure)

Got a wild hair and decided to go for a ride today.. way too hot.. started off at 9:20 and ambient air temp was already 93. Filed up and rode about 60 miles at speeds varying between 35 and 65 (one 20 mile stretch at 65).. stopped to get me some water and noted the air temp was pushing 100 as I...

    Spyder-In-A-Box

I think I will always miss the HD in one way or the other.. but no regrets on getting the Spyder, it is a different animal and I love the difference...... I just need more time behind the handle bars... and as johnnyg stated.. gotta relax more.. and I know that will come with miles.. needs to...

    Calif. Insurance

I have GEICO for everything else I own.. from full-timers RV insurance, my F450, my ex-wife's house (don't ask), and have been for going on 25 years, but they wanted almost $900 for the Spyder.. I called Markel and saved almost $250... still high compared to some and I have a spotless driving...

    New RT, Blue

Sorry to hijack the thread but wanted to say hey from another full-time RV'er.. we live in a 37' Mobile Suites 5th wheel.. the Spyder will probably stay at our home-base we are building in the TX hill country until I can get me a Class 8 tractor converted to pull the 5er and tote the Spyder in...

Wow.. thanks again all... Kelly from South Texas Suzuki sent me the link to this forum when she first contacted me based on my inquiry to her about the :spyder2:.. Spyder-In-A-Box

Thanks all... no it isn't like riding the HD (or any other motorcycle for that matter), but those days are behind us... and even just the short 10 minute demo rides made believers out of us... this is gonna be fun...

    Spyder-In-A-Box

At least that is where our new blue :spyder2: RT-S is until Monday. Went to an open house at a local dealer here near San Antonio, rode two, one SM5 and one SE5, and bought the last RT-S SE5 they had still in the crate.. I am a long time HD rider that sold my last one 5 years ago and decided...
