• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Highway speeds

I don't have a lot of additional info as most of what has been written before is good stuff... I don't care for Interstate/Hwy riding but I have done more than my share over the last 50+ years... the first time on the Spyder at speed on the Interstate was disconcerting.. moves around too much...

    A couple things I learned??

I think most will agree, seat time is your friend.. when I first got my RT, after a week I was ready to go back to two wheels.. now with the DPS replaced (recall) and nothing else done except putting 2500 miles in the Texas Hill Country twisties, I am running the speed limit and slightly above...

USER NAMES/HANDLES - What does yours mean? Where did it come from?

I have lived in 7 different states (Texas 4 different times) and did a tour in Germany while in USAF.. I am now 66 y/o so my average stay in anyone place is less than 5 years.. so "Gypsy" (plus my name Bill) was an easy fit.. (plus I rode with the Gypsy MC for about 8 years in the late 80s early...

    18.4 MPG

I guess I am averaging around 25-28mpg (2000 miles on the clock now).... but, when compared to my only other vehicle ('09 Ford F450 6.4L diesel with 4:30 gears getting 13mpg on a good day), I don't complain ;).

    Multiple issues with 2010 RT

Just turned a little over 2000 miles and have had two (minor) problems that were promptly dealt with by my dealer. 1. Bouncing fuel gauge - replaced at the 600 mile service; 2. Sticking (and intermittently not working) analog speedometer (1525 miles when this happened) - dealer replaced the...

    Passenger armrests? RT- Limited

I am also considering getting the whole Corbin package (will be a winter project) but am a little concerned about the arm-rests. Not concerned that they are worth the money or installation, but my wife is only 4'11" and am concerned they may be to high for her to sit comfortably or that they...

Any luck with this "adaptation"? I am asking as I am considering buying a set of the air wings and would also like an easier way to check my oil. Thanks.

    Milage problem SOLVED

Glad you found the "problem" with the fuel mileage... I am on the fence about putting a Two Bros on my RT and the fall off in mileage was pushing me the other way... Thanks for the update. I just had my instrument cluster replaced for a sticking tach and it sounds like you might be in line...

    Transmission Question

Thanks Bob and I would love to make it to the NRA convention then, but I have to be in MS for my daughter's college graduation (about time as she is 39 with 3 boys and a husband that is deployed 6 months out of the year every year (Navy SeaBee)).

Rode My Zero Miles RT-S Home

Ken (one of the owners of STS) gave me the original mileage and he also entered it in my account (and I assume BRPs system) so if I ever trade or sell it to someone other than them I will have it for mileage verification. TX has the same requirement to disclose the actual mileage. When (or if)...

Rode My Zero Miles RT-S Home

Well, that is what the odometer said when I left the dealership after they replaced the instrument cluster.. can't say enough good things about South Texas Suzuki in Lytle, TX. (Bruce the Spyder mech, Kelley and Ken Haney, the owners and all the other good folks there). Called them last week...
