• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas mileage so far while on our trip

We have 2,075 miles on the RT-LTD so far. We've been towing a fully loaded trailer and have been getting 30+ miles on every tank except for one. That was 204 miles traveled from Key Largo to Key West and back (same gas station). We got 37+ on that tank. That was doing 55, 45 and a lot of in town...

    Spyder in the Keys

Thanks Napper - I will look into that antennae. We have had great weather so far (been on the road over a week). My wife is a Presbyterian Pastor and I think she has been keeping us in good standing with her prayers. We go to Orlando for five days next. Then we will be working our way back home.

    Spyder in the Keys

Joe, No Gremlin bell. We will try one more OEM antennae and if it breaks I will probably look at something different/shorter/stronger. I kind of wondered if it might be a weak antennae to begin with. We don't listen to the radio that much while we are riding anyway. Thanks! Randy

3 Wheels vs 2 Wheels - My Story

We used to travel on our Goldwing and trailer. We made many long trips and had great times, but as I get older I find that the stressful situations were becoming more numerous. This year we are making our first long trip on my wife's Spyder with trailer. We've covered over 2,000 miles so far...

    Spyder in the Keys

:yes: I think this is on Marathon Key. We spent the night in Key West and this is while on our way back to the mainland. Took a while to find a spot for the shot. The weather has been great during the whole trip! We are now on Cocoa Beach. The only issue we've had is someone broke our...

    Downed two-wheeler, and 2 fools

Never tried lane splitting, but I see people changing lanes on the spur of the moment so I can see how it would be easy for things to go bad quickly.

    Why so long...

My guess would be the rpms shouldn't be constant. We're headed for Florida in a few days and I plan to take it easy for the first five hundred miles or so.

    How much do you speed?

I go 5 over normally (using the gps), but like Lamonster, on the Interstate I go with the flow of the traffic and sometimes that's 10 or 15 above. ;) We're heading South to Florida next Thursday on my wife's new RT-L and we'll be hurrying to get to the warmer weather!

Wow! I was complaining about the 1" to 2" we have in our forecast. Suddenly I don't feel so bad.

How many came off a Goldwing, BMW or Harley dresser

Previously did all of our long distance trips on a 2008 Gw with trailer. Decided to go with a Spyder and trailer so my wife can share with the driving. The Spyder is my wife's bike. I still have my Chieftain and now my Yamaha FJR. Love all three.

    It's Moving Day!!!

We've got another whole week of Polar Vortex weather coming through (again)! Wife's new RT-L isn't here yet, but I guess it's just as well.:banghead:

55 degrees today wipe the sts down and had to do it !

We have similar circumstances only it's our lane that's gravel (about 1200 feet). When the frost starts going out it's not a good idea to drive anything on it other than our four wheel drive vehicles. Patience, difficult, but necessary. Won't be long.

Where Oh Where Can My Yellow RT Be?

My wife's 2014 Cognac RT-L has a February delivery, but the dealer hasn't received the ship notice from the trucking company. Hope it shows up soon! We plan to leave for a two week trip to Florida on March 20 with the Spyder and new trailer (27 days).
