• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    what exhaust?

Yup--I've been in touch via e-mail with the folks at V and H and we are setting a date (hopefully in the next 2 weeks) for me to drop off the Spyder. They will dyno and street-test their new prototype. As soon as I have a drop-off date, I'll post. I'll also post any pics/info about the pipe...

    what exhaust?

    V and H just sent me an e-mail. More soon . . .

    what exhaust?

Just wanted to follow-up: I left two voicemails at the factory and sent an e-mail. I never received a response.

    Madstad Windshield help

Since my last post I was able to find the sweet spot with the madstad. I get very little turbulence up to 80 mph, which is faster than I probably should be driving! I ditched the little wrench they sent along to make adjustments, and found tools that made the process much easier. I've had it...

    what exhaust?

I live about 15 minutes from the V and H factory in So. Cal and would be willing to bring my Spyder by so they could test their pipe. Let me know who you spoke with and his # and I'll give him a call.

    Sad Day!!!

So sorry (and angry) about your loss. Hard to believe people can be so cruel. I'm glad that your dog had some wonderful years after you saved him from the streets.

Hybrid Spyder on the way? MUST READ!! Really Cool!

From the article: The team also aims to give the vehicle a total range of 600 km (375 miles) and a range of 30 km (20 miles) in electric mode.

    Spyder Campers

    That's what I thought--thanks, Scotty.

    Spyder Campers

Looks great! I went to the website and saw the Little Guy 6-Wide Sport model that has a platform for motorcycles or an atv--anyone know if the Spyder would fit? That would be a great way to haul the Spyder if needed, and still be able to ryde once you arrive.

    Can-Am Hybrid Spyder

I grew up on musclecars, and still love my tundra. But here in So. Cal the gas prices are ridiculous, and I wonder how long before we see $4.00 a gallon again? My next vehicle will be a hybrid or plug-in. The spyder's mileage is much worse than my last motorcycle, and I would jump at the...

    Goodbye Mick Jaguar

Really sorry to hear about your loss. Beautiful cat. We lost our black german shepherd (Bear) and red tabby (Peen) a little over a year ago. It was difficult time, but now we can look back fondly and remember the good stuff.

    Contest time, "thank" goodness

I'm thankful that I found this site before I even purchased the Spyder, and it has continued to provide useful information for me for the last 2 years. I'm thankful for all the animal-lovers on the site who support one another when we lose our best friends. I'm thankful that I get to experience...

    Need a new wind shield...

Madstad has worked best for me. The F1's (large and xl) created terrible buffeting, and I found the company to be a nightmare. I would never order from them again. The owner of Madstad is great--very consumer-friendly. As others have mentioned, it was a bit challenging to make adjustments at...

Harley to be Built in India

I don't think differences, or people embracing their race/ethnicity is what is pulling this country apart. Unfortunately, the history of our country (despite all the truly great things we have done) illustrates that we have not treated all Americans equally. Americans of Indian descent and...

    Goodbye old friend

Really sorry you lost your beautiful dog. Great Danes are so majestic. Our German Shepherd died last summer and I still miss him.

    Props

It's so rare to get excellent service these days, and we tend to write about the crappy vendors. So I wanted to give some props to companies I've dealt with recently that have been GREAT. I'm not affiliated with any of them in any way. 1. If you live in So. Cal., you are probably already...

    Madstad Windshield help

"This works just fine for me but you have to understand that the system set up like this was never meant to totally block the wind but to diffuse it," I don't mind the wind at all--never even had windshields on my motorcycles. I like feeling the wind which is why I bought the spyder. However...

    Madstad Windshield help

Thanks for the feedback. I hadn't heard of switching the brackets--interesting idea. It seems like most taller folks went with the 24 inch screen, so I may have to move up to that size if I can't make the 22 work. My spyder is in the shop right now for service, so when I get it back next week...

    Madstad Windshield help

Thanks, Effjamis. I tried it straight up with no angle and straight up and out, so I'll use the specs you mentioned and see how it works. Mark over at Madstad is great to work with, and it's cool he is building a larger shield for you to test. Have you noticed a negative effect on your mpg...

    Madstad Windshield help

Yeah, I actually thought about that but I'm not sure if a higher shield necessarily provides better protection? I used to have the large F1 slider and I had it all the way up and it really wasn't effective. I don't mind getting wind--I used to have a harley with no shield--I just hate feeling...
