• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It is still on their web site...so I sent them an email. Guess what.....the manufacturer just called me ! 7pm their time :yikes::clap: Yes it is discontinued and they are 100% sold out. Discontinued as; they are made in Canada, many of the materials come from the US and material costs have...

    Documentation of Maintenance

For all my vehicles including the Spyder :ani29: I have made a word document to record all maintenance that was completed, no matter who did it. Save receipts if done yourself.

    LED strips on the bumpskid

That is why I went with the non lighted BumpSkid: I have seen too many light strips that have sections burn out. I was also concerned that any scraping, bottoming out or that squirrel you hit going 60 mph....would just break the light strip anyway. I do not ride that often at night anyway...

    Ryding in the rain

With the windshield I have not had any real rain issues. Rain tends to blow off the face shield....crack it open enough so it does not fog from your breath. I hope some are joking about speeding up. If anything, get in the slow lane and slow down. Riding in rain can be dangerous...

Why you should use your battery tender

On all my motorcycles....if they are not being riddin...they are on the tender 24 7 ! I also have two show cars and in the past, farm tractor, lawn equipment.....same thing, always on the tender, even just for overnight. It will lengthen your battery life and when you want something to work...

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

In most jurisdictions it IS against the law. It is considered Menacing....serious misdemeanor/possible felony. You are taught in CHL Classes to NOT do this ! :lecturef_smilie:

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

This one is at Harbor Freight in blue color. A little closer to $200.00 and you can use the 20% off coupon. It is very sturdy and used by many here. IMO, your Spyder costs $15K-$20K....why risk a cheap light weight lift.....get a good sturdy one ! Also get a set of stands and always use...

    What is a bump skid?

Here is a photo of a basic SpyderPops Bumbskid Kit. Here it is installed....you can see the lip off the front and the little wings on the sides. It covers the entire bottom of the front end to avoid damage and damage to the lip of the body. It is heavier and probably 4X larger than the...

    heart condition

As already stated...I would not ride with a possiblity that the unit would defibrillate/shock you. I had similar issue 9 years ago. I rode to Laguna Seca in Monterey CA. On the last day of the race I went into heart failure and rode out in an ambulance. I spent 4 days in a cardiac unit...

    Cornering

#1: DONT ride beyond your skill level. Gradually increase speed....but again....stay with current skill level and be careful. Lean into the corners. Centrifugal force can toss you off the bike. Some say the Spyder can't be flipped....I don't believe it. It is a machine and has it's limits...

    Parking lot safety

I agree with your dealer on parking. I would also avoid parking in motorcycle spots as you would likely take up 2 spots and piss off some 2 wheeler. Vandalism can and does occur on bikes and new cars...like a muscle car....usually out of jealousy. I always try to park in an end stall to the...
