• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time to buy/order soon need some dealer advice.

Don't expect a lot of movement on the price, the ST being a new model sticker will more than likely be what you get. Load it up right away and see what they'll do. Adding equipment after will just add cost down the line. As far as dealers, I've delt with 2 down here...Richardson MotorSports...

little lessons learned along the way...

I'm assuming the class at Collin Creek? I've seen them out there on the weekends. You're just about there, you'll be riding in no time. Truth be told, I drove home from Richardson on day one without a license. Was I ready? Figured I'd could do it(had some experience on 3wheelers, quads and...

Don't know who you are using, but we(wife and I) used NTMSC out of McKinney, great bunch of instructors, made it really enjoyable. Wife had ZERO riding experience and used the spyder to complete the riding portion of the class. Classroom work Sat morning until about lunch time and then the...

Floorboards and a 'Thank You' First off, great to meet you today. Lots of fun looking at nice new shiny spyders at the show. Second...you get a pass in my book about the floorboards. You wear so many hats and do so much for this little group( growing by the minute). Let me take advantage of...

RMS ride Yeah, we shoved off around 10:30, rode up to Justin, had lunch and headed home. Made it back to the house about 3:00 and ran just about 170 miles. Good time, good company, good food...couldn't ask for much more, and the weather was great. If you go onto their Facebook page, their...

Funny you mention not seeing many in the area. 2 weeks ago we did a ride with Richardson MotorSports and there we about a dozen spyders there, none of them which we ever saw before. Did our ride up to Justin and sat down for lunch and discovered that 3 of them are 5 min from the house...

Schraeder valve/valve core on air bag got me today

Had the day off today and decided to prep the spyder for our upcoming ride tomorrow with the folks from the selling dealer(old Bonnie and Clyde trail). Cleaned it up real good, checked fluids, pressures, etc and then I went to add some air in the rear bag. I took the valve cap off and was...

Check Engine Light came on AGAIN today ... Bike is shaking and clanging WTH???

NTY Hey Flight...seriously consider North Texas Yamaha. They have one of the better service techs in the metroplex. And even the counter jockeys actually know what you're talking about when you ask them questions. I'm more than willing to drive the 45 min out of my way for competent service...

Things to ask my dealer when I pick up my Spyder

All good info above and good preliminary check list. My I just add one word of caution...DON'T RYDE THE BRAKE, or you'll get a pretty orange screen staring you in the face that will scare the crap out of ya! Otherwise congrats and enjoy!

    Good deal?

Congrats, good choice on color combo(I knew they had that one) and way to go keeping it close to home. After you get your feet wet, Wylie isn't that far if you want to ryde. I have some pretty fun loops around the lakes, up rt 66, across 380, etc.:2thumbs::congrats:

    Good deal?

Yeah, I doubt they'd be willing to beat the Louis price, just thought of them for ya due to proximity from Carrollton. I was very impressed with the service dept, glad I made the switch. And it's really fun to run Bush and 35 from over here in Wylie.

    Good deal?

Might want to check North Texas Yamaha in Lewsville. I was up there recently and at that tie they had 4 of the Lava Bronze. Couldn't tell ya price, I never asked. The wife was mre interested in the Blue RTS that was sitting on the floor with a 4000 discount. $23000 and change. Won't have...
