• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Meet and Eat!

I live in the upstate, in Spartanburg. Always up for a ride. Would love to meet Spyder Ryder's in SC. I know Schultzi in Greer, but no other SC Ryder's. Didn't meet any at Spyderfest

    Right shoulder is shot

Had my left shoulder replaced (right handed) about 6 years ago. PT was tough, but you need the range of motion it will give you. I was back at work in 8 days. I have a physically wimpy job, and am NUTS. Would not do that again. Been doings exercises with bands ever since, and function...

    carry a pistol?

Had a CWP for about 20 years. While I always try to avoid a bad situation, can't always do that.Concealed is just that. No one has ever known, and I have not had the need to use it . Sincerely hope I never do. Too old to run and not strong enough to fight. Might as well be prepared. If you...

do you wear ear plugs when not wearing a helmet?

sorry, didn't really answer the question. -always wear plugs -always wear helmet. respect those that don't, but i read CTs at a trauma center, and see what happens to those that choose not to.

do you wear ear plugs when not wearing a helmet?

i have enough hearing loss that i always wear plugs. decent prescription plugs from beltone. got great plugs from Big Ear at spyderfest, both standard and stereo. the stereo plugs let me hear tunes at low volume, and don't hear wind/motor noise at all. couldn't be happier. these plugs also...

    Corbin seat?????

Had one for 18 months. 750 miles to Spyderfest, and very sore butt (that seat was hard). Had ultimate seat put on at Spyderfest. Rode back 750 miles with no discomfort. I liked the looks of the Corbin, but it didn't like me.

    Nancystoys and Lamonster

Absolutely. i've learned a lot from those 3. Some things I wanted to know, and scarier , many things I didn't even know I needed to know. Still don't know much, but know who to ask

Are There Still People Out There Who Don't Think Helmets Are Necessary?

Wow, this topic always generates strong feelings. I respect each of yours. Just finished 7 nights covering radiology for 5 hospitals including a trauma center. Saw numerous CT scans for falling, fighting, gunshot,as well as car, ATV, scooter and motorcycle crashes. There are so many things...

    acknowledging other oncoming bikers

I always wave if possible. Don't care if they wave back. If I'm riding, I'm happy enough for the both of us

    i wanna ride with shorts

ATGATT is difficult to follow all the time. I really try. I actually wore jeans a few days as Spyderfest, and worried the whole time. All depends on perspective. I see a lot of the motorcycle trauma in the upstate in SC. been working at trauma centers since 1989. That REALLY gives you a...

    I WANNA RYDE

    1. The ultimate seat is great, the few times i have been able to ryde. 2. THe spyder is more of a problem. shifter wouldn't shift into 2nd. the tech was sure it was because the ISCI footboards were inhibiting the movement. Seemed strange to me, because if i could manage to get to 2nd, no...

    I WANNA RYDE

thanks, but i'm the lucky one. got a job i can do with two bad shoulders. no complaints. don't have to stick needles or do procedures much any more. very lucky. when it comes to needles, my experience is : it is always better to be the stick-er than the stick-ee. been on both sides and...

    Baker Wings

I love mine. But the bolts do get loose. have to check before every ride. I lost one on the way to Spyderfest. had it replaced. the bolts were tight when I left. must be the vibrations, cause every bolt was loose when I got home.
