• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Cool Air Intake

We have alot of construction areas around Johnstown, especially Route 30, its a great road but there is always construction somewhere. :D

    Cool Air Intake

Nope, that's the first thing I checked. It has not happened since the cool air intake installation, up to 800 miles tested, no problems, I actually saw 4 bars yesturday on the temp gauge, but that didn't last long. I still have not experienced any more surging while stopped, that was a real...

    Cool Air Intake

Yes, it went into limp mode twice. I'm also considering switching the coolant to Engine Ice, I've had sucess running that in my ZRX1200 at the strip. This is the first bike I've owned where the engine is completely enclosed.

    Cool Air Intake

Thanks, those look like the ticket, something like that slipped over the end of the intake tube then installing the rubber hose to hold in place would be perfect.

    Cool Air Intake

I'm just reporting the experience I've had over the last 500 miles. Before installation, the spyder was almost always running 5 bars and up to 7 bars while sitting in heavy traffic. After the install, the most I've seen is 3 bars, no other changes have been made and I had the most problems...

    Cool Air Intake

No, I haven't had any issues with rain, bugs or leaves. I was wondering the same thing. I guess it wouldn't be hard to place some kind of screen over the plastic intake before placeing the rubber hose over it. I wonder if panty hose would work?

    Cool Air Intake

Yesturday, it was 87 degrees with 70% humidity and I mean stop and go traffice, sitting still, drive 10 feet, stop, drive another 10 feet, stop. Before the intake, my spyder would have reached 5-7 bars on the temp gauge. Remember, it may be warm outside, but thats no comparrison to the...

    Cool Air Intake

When sitting in stop and go traffic, the Spyder tends to overheat, the stock intake is nothing more than joined rubber tubes that are straight and way too long, all it does is suck in warm air from the engine compartment, the reason the MMG cool air intake works is it pulls air in the fog light...

    Cool Air Intake

I am currently running the MMG cool air intake, Can-Am Hindle exhaust and Green Performance Filter. I've only had the bike for going on four weeks and have a little over 2,000 miles on her.

    Cool Air Intake

I am impressed with the overall quality, the only modification needed to install the intake is you need to cut a small piece of plastic on the inside of the panel used for fog lights, this allows you to get a good fit with the piece of rubber hose included in the kit for a tight fit, you can...

    Cool Air Intake

I just installed the MMG cool air intake, yes I know how some members feel about the product and his statements on ebay, I have to say it is a very nice product and only took about 30 minutes to install the intake and Green performance filter. Big improvement on performance, no more surges and...

    Handicapped Spyder Ryders.....Roll call!

Another Left A/K Amp, happened in 2005 when a tractor trailer cut across the double yellow and caught me on the knee cap. I am thrilled with my new SE5, I rode a Suzuki quad for awhile, but nothing beats the open road. :2thumbs:

    lone rider in Feasterville

Hey Beerman, we have got to get together, I've seen your Spyder in Ligonier a few times, I should have sent you a PM, we just got back from East Coast Stugis in Maryland, then you could have filtered some of the questions that I got. I think mine was the only one there.

    Good News/Bad News

Hi John, Sorry to say, but I knew about Kissell Motorsports having problems with BRP, I steered clear of them and purchased my new Spyder from Mosites in Irwin. There is a dealer in Kittaning on 422. Shoot me a PM, we could get together, I'd be happy to ride with you to another dealer. BTW...

What do you wear when you ride your Spyder?

Well, as someone with first hand knowledge, both as an EMT and sliding on my back for at least 75 ft., Wear your gear all the time. 1. Full Face Helmet (I wear an Icon Airframe or Suomy or Arai) 2. Armored Jacket, not just the shoulders and elbows, make sure it has the back armor (I wear Joe...
