• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

Hopefully better seen. Actually, this pre-2020 Spyder was equipped with halogen lamps, that old yellow glow. The right front was out so I elected to replace 'em all with LEDs. Have yet to change the fog lights out. Looks to be a tad more difficult than the headlights. Webeesee.

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

Premature boast on my part. :( Put everything back together and was sitting on the RT fiddling with the phone mount and USB cable. To that point, the blue lights were lit and it did charge my phone when I hooked it up. Attempted to start the engine and that's when the 10a fuse blew. I THINK...

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

Success! Got functioning dual USBs and a 12v adapter between the handlebars. Thanks to Snowbelt Spyder and Snoking1127 for the pointers. Replaced the 5a with a 10a and, so far, all is well.

Yeah, if you miss seeing LEDs, you could be a distracted driver. :) All it takes is one.

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

Violet and yellow, actually, but yeah. Getting time for me to rustle up some grub. Back at it tomorrow. At least my LED headlight conversion works as designed. That's some bright light!

Thanks, guys. Much appreciated. Gonna redo my splices and try again. Hope the third time ain't the charm.

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

Just hooked up an dual USB and 12v plug from Slingmods. Needed to use some extra wire to reach the GPS2 connector. I used a little larger (14g) than I should've. Did butt splices. The blue lights came on briefly and went off. Turning the key on produces nothing. Pretty sure I've blown a fuse. I...

Too hot to ride, or maybe I’m just getting old

Well, you got me by 4 yrs - I will be 79 in August - but you're right. It's just too danged hot to ride sometimes. I drove over to Austin TX last Friday from College Station to have a new rear tire put on. Left the house @ 6:30AM to get there by 9:00AM and the ride wasn't too bad. By the time...

    2018 RTL GPS/Accessory 12 VDC Keyed circuit

I've been in the operators guide but quickly get distracted. An index would be useful. Can a 2018 owner give an old fart a hand: where are the user accessible accessory circuits located? Pretty sure there's one next to the battery up front, but are there any others closer to midships?

My Uncle was hurt in this 2026 RTL Crash!

🙏 Amen to that. Hope they put that 'distracted driver' under the jail. After they pay, of course.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I had my first 'tupperware' removal/re-installation lesson today: hooked up a couple brakelight flasher modules. Overall, I give myself a C. Get to do it again as soon as the light for the top of the rear trunk arrives. Mebbe I'll be smoother then. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Anyhoo, that is...

Yeah, winter in TX is just about perfect for open air rides. Except for the odd ice and snow, we got it good down here weatherwise. And spring is like a gift from God when the bluebonnets and paintbrush are blooming. Thanks for the well wishes and right back at ya.

Yeah, the previous owner was... religious... about getting the recalls done. ;)

I'm good on the tires until I start using it more frequently. Which, because it's getting too stinking hot, will be fall-ish. The rear tire is new, the fronts were recently replaced. It had 15k on the odometer, so yeah, low mileage. As I mentioned, I'm a happy camper. Saved myself about $20k by...
